A device for entering data, which is configured to be laid down on a touchpad of a terminal. The device for entering data includes an appreciably parallelepiped-shaped plate. The plate includes an upper face, at least one part of which includes a keypad-forming matrix of entry zones, and a lower face. The lower face includes, for each key of the keypad on the upper face, at least one contact zone electrically connected to a corresponding key on the upper face.

A memory card reader body of a generally parallelepiped shape has a slot for insertion of a memory card and a housing to receive a memory card connector. The reader body has an upper cover and a lower base. The upper cover is made out of metal and the reader body further includes a printed-circuit board affixed to an upper face of the upper cover. The printed-circuit board includes at least one protection element.

A portable electrical power supply device includes a battery, cables and a female connector to which is attached a cover aimed at attaching the connector to the battery. This cover notably attaches the female connector and the battery as such. This gives a compact, consistent and rigid assembly. No separate handling operations need to be planned to insert the female connector into the male connector and insert the battery into its housing. Besides, in at least certain embodiments, the rigid cover is shaped so that it does not take up a volume greater than that of the battery without a cover.

A general display plane of the terminal, formed by a keyboard and/or a terminal screen, forms a non-zero angle with a general positioning surface of the terminal. A terminal includes first and second communication modules for communicating with a personal device for performing transactions, called a transactional device. The first communication module includes a contact reading interface, and the second communication module includes a contact-free reading interface. The terminal also includes a detection module including: at least one transactional device position sensor, delivering an item of data representative of a position of a transactional device relative to the terminal; and at least one control module for controlling at least one communication module of the first and second communication modules, the at least one control module activating the communication module on the basis of the item of data representative of the position of the transactional device.
