A vehicle having a multipart lowerable vehicle top has at least two bending-resistant top elements. The top elements are swivellably connected with one another and, by way of at least one top element, are swivellably connected with the vehicle body. For connecting the top elements with one another and/or with a vehicle body, swivelling joints are provided such that, each connection having at least one drivable swivelling joint.

Vehicle with a multipart lowerable vehicle top

A motor vehicle having a convertible top and whose interior is shielded from drafts by means of a rearward protective wall for extensive protection of the occupants. The interior of the motor vehicle is largely enclosed around a circumference along upper edges of the side walls by the windshield, the side windows and the protective wall. A detachable roof part encloses the interior. As a result, minimum expenditures are required to place the roof part in an open or closed position.

Motor vehicle with a convertible top

A roof construction for a motor vehicle is provided with a forward roof part, a rearward roof part having C-columns and having a rear window, and an adjusting device moving the two roof parts between a lowered inoperative position and a closed operative position. The adjusting device has a main hinge pin about which at least the rearward roof part can be swung. By way of a hinge pin, the rear window is hinged to the C-columns. One end of a drag lever is laterally linked in each case to the rear window, and its other end is disposed on the vehicle body side in a hinge axle. The hinge axle of the drag lever is situated at a distance from the main hinge pin.

Roof construction for a motor vehicle

A hardtop for a convertible includes a front roof part and a rear roof part with a fixed rear window. The front and rear roof parts are operated by a lateral folding mechanism to be moved between a raised position and a retracted position in which the roof parts are contained in a roof box. The roof box is made variable in size via a foldable portion of the rear seat. When the roof is in the raised position, the foldable portion of the rear seat forms the rear seat. When the roof is retracted, the foldable portion of the rear seat is folded forward to enlarge the roof box. A shelf is attached to the foldable portion of the rear seat, which is an upper part of a backrest and is foldable about a horizontal axis of rotation to form a floor part of the roof box. The shelf forms a front wall of the roof box when the upper part of the backrest is folded. A roll bar is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. A roller shade box is disposed at a rear area of the shelf. The roller shade has a free end removably attached to the roll bar. When the roof parts are in a retracted position, the roller shade forms a wind screen when the roll bar is in a raised position, and the roller shade forms a cover for the roof parts when the roll bar is in a lowered position.

Variable roof box for a convertible

A convertible motor vehicle roof construction has the C-column sections arranged to project freely at least in their lowered inoperative position and at least along a portion of their length without any transverse connection. Control devices for the forward displacement of the rearward roof part in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle are provided so that, in the inoperative position, the C-column sections at least partially laterally flank a rear area of the vehicle interior.

A passenger car has a roof which can be lowered in a rearward vehicle structure of the vehicle body. Each lateral roof frame part is foldably connected with the rearward roof area by way of a hinge arrangement. A securing device for fastening in the respective end position is assigned to an operative position of the roof frame parts in which these project toward the front as well as to an inoperative position in which these are folded in.

Passenger car having a lowerable vehicle roof

A process for heating the passenger compartment (10) in a motor vehicle, particularly an electric vehicle, having a heating device (12), which is supplied with an air current (40) extracted, via a waste-air duct (11), from the passenger compartment (10). The air current enters into the passenger compartment (10) from the heating device (12) via an intake-duct (13). In order to prevent internal misting of the vehicle's windows, even with a low heating capacity, at least one partial air current (40a), which is branched off from the air current (40) prior to entry into the passenger compartment (10), flows through a sorbent (15) such as zeolite or the like.

Process and apparatus for heating the passenger compartment of a motor

A motor vehicle with a lowerable roof construction, particularly a convertible sports car, has a roof part and a rear part as well as a forced control device for controlling the relative movement of the roof part with respect to the rear part. The forced control device has at least one control element which is connected in the region of the roof swivel axis in a rotationally fixed manner to the roof part and interacts with at least one further control element which is fixed to the body of the vehicle and is in the region of the rear swivel axis.
