Various embodiments include a method for producing a structure with a cold gas spraying method comprising: providing a carrier with a carrier surface, to which the structure is to be attached by the cold gas spraying method by following a travel path; and providing an element with an element surface different from the carrier surface. The element is arranged in the travel path and/or the travel path is specified such that intersections of the travel path and/or interruptions of the structure are arranged on the element surface.

The present disclosure relates to powder-bed-based additive manufacturing processes. Embodiments thereof may include methods for producing a component from a superalloy. For example, a method for producing a component comprising a superalloy may include: preheating a powder bed comprising particles of a core material coated by a ceramic layer, the core material including alloying constituents of the superalloy and building up the component layer by layer in a powder bed by melting particles with an energy beam. The powder bed may be heated to a temperature below a melting point of the core material before the particles are melted.

For example, a method for coating a carrier component may include: laying a mask with an opening on the component; depositing a material through the opening to completely fill up the mask opening; removing any material located above the upper side to form a flat surface even with the upper side of the mask; laying a second mask on the first mask; depositing the material again; removing any deposited material located above the upper side of the second mask to form a flat surface even with the upper side of the second mask; repeating layers of additional masks and material deposition until the deposited material reaches a required thickness on the carrier component; and after completion of the coating to the required thickness, removing the masks.

The invention relates to a cooling device for a spraying nozzle, in particular for cold gas spraying, and to a spraying nozzle assembly equipped with such a cooling device. The spraying nozzle is surrounded by an enclosure forming the cooling device, wherein it is provided according to the invention that a cooling line within the enclosure forms a closed system which can be supplied with a cooling medium by way of an inlet and an outlet. The cooling medium therefore advantageously does not come into contact with the spraying nozzle, which is inserted into a receiving opening in the enclosure by means of a loose fit. The closure may also advantageously taper conically towards the mouth of the spraying nozzle, and therefore coatings can also be applied to difficultly accessible components by means of the spraying nozzle assembly according to the invention.

A method for producing a shell-shaped component and a production system for producing such a component are disclosed. Thee component is produced by a cold gas stream by cold gas spraying. The particles of the cold gas stream are applied to the edge of the component being produced, wherein simultaneously a supporting body is used, which supports the component only at the point of incidence of the cold gas stream. In this way, the form of the component can be shaped by suitably moving the supporting body and the cold spray nozzle, without having to produce a core that fills the entire volume of the shell-shaped component. Thus, the method may be especially economical for small quantities, because the supporting body can be used universally for components of different geometries.

A magnetic steel sheet including a layer adjoining at least one of a top side and bottom side of the magnetic metal sheet. The layer includes a metal oxide containing titanium oxide or tantalum oxide and the layer adjoins the magnetic steel sheet along a diffusion zone into which the titanium or tantalum of the metal oxide has diffused into the magnetic steel sheet. The diffusion zone is produced on at least one of a top surface and a bottom surface of the magnetic steel sheet and the diffusion layer diffuses one of tantalum and titanium as metal into the at least one surface. The metal of the at the at least one surface is converted into an associated metal oxide to form the layer including the metal oxide, and a residual content of the metal of the metal oxide remains in the diffusion zone.

In a method for cold gas spraying a layer, coating particles are accelerated in a cold spraying nozzle. The particles have a plastic encapsulation. In said manner, the plastic is precipitated onto the substrate together with the metal material, thereby forming in particular layer compositions having good sliding properties, dirt repellent properties, or lubricating properties. The coating can be used as a bearing component of a sliding bearing, as a flow component, in particular as a rotor blade of wind power plants or body components of transportation vehicle, or as trim components of structures.

A method prepares a repair material for and repairs a damage point in the surface of cast parts. Spray particles having the same cast structure as the cast part are used as materials. The particles are applied to the damage point by cold gas spraying. The cold gas spraying is performed such that the spray particles are not melted and, advantageously, the cast structure is retained after the spray particles contact the repair point. The repair point can thus be advantageously furnished with the same properties as the rest of the component to be repaired. The repair material can be produced in that a cast part having the required cast structure is reduced to small pieces.

A bogie shaft for railway vehicles has a cladding which contains a metal component. The metal component is preferably electrochemically less refined, but no greater than exactly as refined, as a material of the bogie shaft. Corrosion on the bogie shaft can thereby be advantageously prevented. The metal material of the cladding is also able to effectively protect the bogie shaft against stone impact. The cladding can be advantageously applied by cold gas spraying, or a sleeve can be bent around the bogie shaft for forming the cladding. The cladding can advantageously contain particles that can make it more resistant to stone impact. The particles can be made, for example, of hard materials, of particularly ductile particles, or of particles made of a memory shape alloy.

The absorber layer is generated by cold gas sputtering, wherein suitable method parameters can in particular generate an increased surface roughness by means of pores in the surface region of the absorber layer. A component part has a catalyst surface. This surface has metallic components and components of MnO() in contact with the former. The metallic components are preferably formed of Ag and/or Ni. These material pairs achieve a great improvement in catalyst action compared to the pure metals. Especially in the case of use of Ni, which is toxicologically safe, these surfaces, for example, may also find use in ambient air purification for reduction of the ozone content. The surface can be applied, for example, by a coating of the component part, in which case the metallic component and the component of MnOare applied in two layers.

A method generates an abrasive wear-resistant layer on a substrate. The layer is formed of particles of a ductile material, in particular Zn, wherein the parameters of the cold spraying process are set such that a comparatively loose laminate having pores is formed by the spray particles. The laminate advantageously and surprisingly exhibits high resistance to abrasive wear (for example by a particle) because the layer can avoid the attack by the particle by plastic deformation and closure of the pores, whereby abrasive removal of the layer is advantageously low. The cold gas-sprayed layer is used as a protective layer against abrasive wear.
