The present invention relates to compositions comprising at least one thermoplastic polyurethane, a first phosphorus-containing flame retardant (F1) selected from the group consisting of melamine polyphosphates and a further phosphorus-containing flame retardant (F2) selected from the group consisting of derivatives of phosphinic acid, wherein the composition is free from melamine cyanurate, and to the use of such a composition for the production of cable sheathings.

The invention provides articles made of thermoplastic polyurethane based on polycarbonate diol which are a constituent of a device that receives or transmits electromagnetic radiation, are a cover for a device, or are used in proximity to such a device. The invention further provides for the use of thermoplastic polyurethane based on polycarbonate diol for these articles.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by a process comprising the reaction of a thermoplastic polyester (PE-1) with a diol (D1) to give a composition (Z1) comprising a polyester (PE-2), and the reaction of the composition (Z1) obtained in step (i) with an isocyanate composition (I1) comprising at least one polyisocyanate, and with a polyol composition (P1), where the polyol composition (P1) comprises at least one polycarbonate polyol (PC1), and also to a process for the production of the thermoplastic polyurethane. Aging-resistant TPU

A composition contains a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1), obtained or obtainable by reaction of an isocyanate composition (IZ) containing MDI with a polyol composition (PZ), and hollow glass microspheres. The polyol composition (PZ) contains at least one polyol (P1) selected from polytetrahydrofurans having an average molecular weight Mn in the range from 900 to 2,000 g/mol. The polyol composition (PZ) also contains a chain extender (KV1), selected from 1,2-ethandiol, 1,3-propanediol, 1,4-butanediol and 1,6-hexanediol. Ski shoes, preferably ski boots, particularly preferably the outer shell of a ski boot, can be based on such a thermoplastic polyurethane. Corresponding processes can be used for producing ski shoes.

Preparation having a low phenol content on the basis of thermoplastic polyurethane

The present invention relates to a method for producing a thermoplastic polyurethane that comprises reacting an isocyanate composition at least comprising 4,4'-diisocyanatodicyclohexylmethane (H12MDI) with a polyol composition (PZ) in the presence of a catalyst composition at least comprising a bismuth-containing compound selected from bismuth (tricarboxylate) catalysts, where the carboxyl radicals independently of one another have 6 to 12 carbon atoms, to give a melt and producing pellets from the resulting melt. The present invention further relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtained or obtainable by the method of the invention, and also to the use for producing films, profiles, cable sheathing, and sheathing of LED strips.
