A filter element for filtration of an air stream includes: a folded filter medium forming a bellows, the filter medium being constructed at least in two layers and having a particle filter layer, an electrically conductive filter layer, and at least one edge band, the at least one edge band being connected to at least one outer side of the bellows. At least one further edge band is connected to an outer side of the bellows. The at least one further edge band is electrically conductive. The at least one further edge band forms a pocket open towards one side.

The invention relates to a textile fabric having a coating composed of two layers of thermoplastic hot-seal adhesives of differing compositions applied one on top of the other, the second hot-seal adhesive, which is applied to the first, having a melting point of &#x3e;135&#xb0; C. and a melt flow index (MFI) value of 50 to 250 g/10 minutes (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg). The invention further relates to a method for producing a textile fabric, comprising the following steps: a) producing a textile fabric using a textile fabric manufacturing technique; b) applying a layer of a first hot-seal adhesive to the textile fabric; and c) applying a layer of a second hot-seal adhesive to the textile fabric so as to d) form a layer of the second hot-seal adhesive over the layer of first hot-seal adhesive, the second hot-seal adhesive used having a melting point of &#x3e;135&#xb0; C. and a melt flow index (MFI) value of 50 to 250 g/10 minutes (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg). The textile fabrics may be used as interlining or lining material which can withstand stress during care treatment.

A method for forming a textile fusible sheet material includes producing a fibrous web from fibers on a laydown apparatus so as to form a backing ply and applying a mixture of a binder and a thermoplastic polymer to selected areal regions of the fibrous web. The method further includes thermally treating the fibrous web so as to dry and bond the fibers of the fibrous web using the binder to form a bonded fibrous web nonwoven fabric and so as to sinter the thermoplastic polymer with a surface of the bonded fibrous web nonwoven fabric.

Fusible textile fabric

A method for forming a thermofusible sheet material includes providing a backing ply including a textile material and applying a mixture of a binder and a thermoplastic polymer to selected areal regions of the backing ply so as to form a two-layer bonding compound structure. The method further includes thermally treating the backing ply so as to dry the mixture and to sinter the thermoplastic polymer onto a surface of the backing ply.

The invention relates to a nonwoven fabric which is bonded at selected points by use of a binder containing particles composed of filler material (a phase change material, among others) and which is not bonded at other selected points. The nonwoven fabric is characterized by a soft touch and good flexibility, and may be used as an interlining material or an intermediate layer.

A three-dimensionally structured fiber fabric has a high fluid absorption capacity of at least 5 g fluid per g of fiber fabric and elevations and depressions that occur alternately and regularly with reference to the fabric plane, which includes at least one nonwoven fabric layer and a shrunk fabric bonded to it. The bond between the nonwoven fabric layer and the shrunk fabric has been produced by hot bonding, and the hot bonding occurred at least perpendicular to the direction of the greatest shrinkage of the shrunk fabric, in the form of regularly arranged lines. Furthermore, spaces have formed between the nonwoven fabric layer and the shrunk fabric, at the alternately occurring elevations and depressions, which spaces promote the fluid absorption capacity of the fabric. These fabrics may be used as wiping cloths, wet wipes, as fluid dispensers for cleaning or for applying fluids, etc.

Described is a textile sheet, which in particular may be used as an interlining material in the textile industry, having a substrate based on a nonwoven fabric, woven fabric, knitted fabric, or the like. According to the invention, the substrate is provided with a mesh configuration comprising meshes of an electrically conductive material which are interlinked or interconnected in one and/or two dimensions, for example in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction. The textile sheet according to the invention is electrically conductive, and is further characterized by small thickness, low weight, high flexibility, and a very smooth textile feel. Also described is a method for manufacturing a textile sheet according to the invention, and preferred uses thereof.

The nonwoven fabric is formed of adhesively and/or cohesively bonded fibers, the fibers having intertwinements which are produced by liquid-jetting from the downstream side prior to the adhesive and/or cohesive bonding, and the fibers, because of the liquid-jetting, being compacted increasingly from the upstream side toward the downstream side in such a way that differently compacted regions are formed, in which particles of different size can be separated.
