The invention relates to a pulverulent composition preparable by contacting a powder with 0.01 to 50 wt %, based on the overall mass of the composition, of a liquid component comprising at least one copolymer obtainable by polymerizing a mixture of monomers comprising (I) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer which comprises at least one radical from the series carboxylic acid, carboxylic salt, carboxylic ester, carboxylic amide, carboxylic anhydride, and carboxylic imide and (II) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a polyalkylene oxide radical, the liquid component comprising at least 1 wt % of the at least one copolymer and at least 30 wt % of an organic solvent, and the powder which is contacted with the liquid component comprising no inorganic binder. The present invention relates to a composition comprising (&#x3b1;) at least one inorganic binder and (&#x3b2;) at least one water-soluble copolymer based on (a) 0.1 to 20 wt % of at least one monomer of the formula (I) and (b) 25 to 99.9 wt % of at least one hydrophilic monomer (b) which is different from monomer (a), where the at least one copolymer has a molar mass average M of 1 500 000 to 30 000 000 g/mol. Furthermore, a process for producing this composition is disclosed. A further aspect of the present invention is the use of the copolymer of component (&#x3b2;) as rheological additive in a composition of the invention.

Inorganic binder composition comprising a copolymer

The invention relates to a composition comprising 5-50 wt % of calcium silicate hydrate, 10-60 wt % of at least one water-soluble, acid group-containing polymer comprising polyether groups, and 5-40 wt % of at least one polyalkylene glycol ether. Further disclosed is a process for preparing this composition, and cementitious mixtures comprising the composition. A further aspect of the present invention is the use of the composition of the invention in cementitious mixtures for accelerating the development over time of the dispersing action of the acid group-containing polymer after addition of the mixing water and a subsequently accelerated curing of the mixture.

The invention concerns a composition containing a) 2 to 80 weight % of Ordinary Portland Cement with respect to the total weight of the composition b) 2 to 80 weight % of a calcium sulfate based binder with respect to the total weight of the composition, with the proviso that the weight ratio of a) Ordinary Portland Cement to b) calcium sulfate based binder is from 95/5 to 5/95 and c) at least one retarder for calcium sulfate based binders, the retarder being a chemical structure, which comprises from 3 to 70 amino acids.
