The invention relates to a holding apparatus for splice protection devices with splices, accommodated in the splice protection devices, of optical waveguides, with a base wall and a plurality of separating elements which engage on the base wall, the separating elements demarcating accommodating regions from one another which run substantially parallel to one another for in each case at least one splice protection device. According to the invention, at least some accommodating regions are delimited at least one longitudinal side by in each case at least one first separating element, which has a dimensionally stable section and at least one elastically deformable section, the dimensionally stable section engaging on the base wall, the or each elastically deformable section engaging on the dimensionally stable section in such a way that the former protrudes, in an unformed initial position, into the respective accommodating region while reducing the effective width thereof and can be elastically deformed out of the initial position while enlarging the effective width of the respective accommodating region for the purpose of inserting a splice protection device into the respective accommodating region.

Holding apparatus for splice protection devices with splices, accommodated in the splice protection devices, of optical waveguides

A cable sleeve for the structured storage and handling of optical waveguides guided in optical waveguide cables is disclosed. The cable sleeve comprises a covering body defining an interior. A sealing body comprising two dimensionally stable end pieces and a compressible gel element arranged between the end pieces is adapted to be insert into an opening of the covering body and operable for feeding optical waveguide cables into the interior and/or for feeding optical waveguide cables out of the interior. Spring elements are integrated into the interior of a covering body. When the sealing body is inserted into the opening of the covering body and compressed, the spring elements bear against one of the dimensionally stable end pieces of the sealing body and exert a compression force onto the gel element.

Cable sleeve for the structured storage and handling of optical waveguides guided in optical waveguide cables

A device for storing and handling optical fibers, namely a cable sleeve, includes a frame and a plurality of splice cases arranged one above the other on a front side of the frame and on a rear side of the frame and pivotally fastened to the frame. Fiber guide elements are mounted on at least one narrow side of the frame for guiding optical fibers laterally next to the splice cases. A drawer disposed between the splice cases and configured to be drawn out from a vertically running narrow side of the frame stores uncut multifiber buffer tubes containing optical fibers. Guide channels are disposed inside the splice cases such that the optical fibers are guided within the splice cases in a circular manner with approximately the same radii, irrespective of their individual lenths.

Device for the structured storage or handling of optical waveguides

A patch cable management system for an optical waveguide distributing device includes a plurality of plus modules and/or splice modules mounted on a subrack. Each plus module and/or splice module is provided with a plurality of couplings for contact with optical waveguides on the front and rear. An electronic module provided with all the functions and componenty of a conventional backplane can be positioned at any desired location within the optical waveguide distributing device and connected to the plug moduels and/or splice modules to serve for the electronic addressing and localization of the plugged optical-fiber connections.

A sealing body (DK) for cable accessories is provided with cable entrance openings (KEU) in a separation plane (TE) of the sealing body (DK) and with cable entrances (KEN) outside of the separation plane (TE). In the cable entrances (KEN) outside of the separation plane (TE) is arranged a sealing system made of a pressure bushing (AH), a toothed disk (ZS), a sealing bushing (DH) and a thrust bearing bushing (GH).

A cable sleeve includes a covering body having a front-face end defining a circumferential, conically tapered flange. At least one front-face sealing body is positioned adjacent the covering body and has a circumferential, U-shaped sealing groove. A ring seal in inserted into the sealing groove of the sealing body. The ring seal has an L-shaped cross-section and has a first leg that received within the sealing groove of the sealing body and a second leg having a tapered course on both sides broadening towards the first leg. A straining ring fastens the ring seal between the flange of the covering body and the sealing groove of the sealing body.
