An adjusting device for a vehicle seat for adjusting a component of the vehicle seat, may have a tube, a motor and a pinion which is drivable by the motor. The motor and the pinion may be arranged in the tube. In addition, a vehicle seat may have a transverse tube, a component which is movable relative to the transverse tube and the adjusting device for adjusting the component relative to the transverse tube.

An adjusting device for a vehicle seat may have a first adjustable assembly, a second adjustable assembly, and an electric motor. The electric motor may be operatively connected both to an adjustment gearing of the first adjustable assembly as well as to an adjustment gearing of the second adjustable assembly by at least one output shaft. A motor support may be provided which receives the electric motor, and the motor support may be secured to the two adjustable assemblies via a respective adapter. The motor support may have a metal material as a single piece. The adapters may be made of a non-metal material. A method for assembling the adjusting device may include first securing the adapters to the respective paired adjustable assembly. The motor support may be connected to the adapters in an additional step.

A gear unit (G) includes a gear housing () with at least one locking component (') for a form and/or force-locking mounting of an electric motor () to the gear unit (G). The locking component (&#x2032;) is configured as a circumferential edge or flange collar (), in which a number of undercuts (&#x2032;) are incorporated, in which the electric motor () can be locked by a form or force-locking connection. The gear housing () includes an additional locking unit () as an additional radial stop, which locking unit can be pressed into the locking component () to achieve a locked state. An electric gear motor (GM) includes at least one electric motor () and the gear unit (G). The locking component (&#x2032;) can be form and/or force-lockingly connected to the motor locking element (A, A&#x2032;). A seat (S) includes the electric gear motor (GM).

An adapter arrangement (), fastening a first component (K) to a second component (K), includes two adapter elements (). The first adapter element () is configured to be fastened to the first component (K). The second adapter element () is configured to be fastened to the second component (K). An adjusting device, in particular a height or longitudinal adjusting device for motor vehicle seats, including a threaded spindle that is rotatably mounted in a gearbox housing at one end and in a receiving unit at the other end, the receiving unit having an inner thread that is adapted to the spindle thread. The adjusting device also includes a motor unit that is operatively connected to the threaded spindle. An adjusting device and a seat base frame for motor vehicle seats with an adjusting device that transmits forces that occur in the event of a crash to the required degree are provided. A reinforcing element is provided in the gearbox housing such that said element is suitable for receiving forces that act in the longitudinal axial direction of the threaded spindle in the event of a crash.
