A coil assembly includes a coil winding and a multilayer printed circuit board. The coil winding has multiple loops that are arranged in different layers of the printed circuit board and form a main magnetic field with a main measuring direction perpendicular to a main plane of the printed circuit board. The loops arranged in different layers are electrically connected together via at least one via. The printed circuit board has at least four vias or a whole-number multiple of four vias that form an equal number of reverse current paths and forward current paths between the loops of the coil winding. Each pair of vias with the same current path direction is arranged point-symmetrically relative to a common mirror point such that magnetic loops that are formed on printed circuit board secondary planes arranged perpendicularly to the main plane have opposite directions and compensate for one another.

A soot particle sensor includes a laser module including a laser and a detector configured for the detection of temperature radiation. The soot particle sensor provides that the laser is configured to generate laser light, and the soot particle sensor includes an optical element situated in the beam path of the laser of the laser module, which is configured to bundle laser light originating from the laser module in a spot, and the detector is situated in the soot particle sensor so that it detects the radiation originating from the spot.

An angular position sensor includes a stator element with at least three coils, a rotor element rotatably mounted with respect to the stator element, and an evaluation unit configured to determine an angle of rotation between the rotor element and stator element. The rotor element is configured to inductively couple with each of the at least three coils with varying strengths based on the angle of rotation. The evaluation unit is further configured to supply the coils with alternating voltage in a cyclical manner and in sequence, so that a first respective part of the coils is supplied with alternating voltage and a remaining part is de-energized. The evaluation unit is additionally configured, in a cyclical manner in sequence with one or more de-energized coils, to detect at least one of a respective phase and an amount of an induced alternating voltage, and to determine the angle of rotation therefrom.

In one embodiment, a sensor arrangement for the contactless sensing of angles of rotation on a rotating part includes a disk-shaped target coupled to the rotating part. The disc-shaped target has at least one metal surface and generates at least one piece of information for ascertaining the instantaneous angle of rotation of the rotating part in connection with a coil arrangement. The coil arrangement has at least one flat detection coil. The arrangement further includes at least one measuring circuit that converts the inductance of a corresponding at least one flat detection coil into a measuring signal. The inductance changes due to eddy-current effects, as a function of the degree of overlap with the at least one metal surface of the rotating target. The arrangement further includes an evaluation and control unit that detects the measuring signal using measurement techniques and evaluates the signal for calculating the angle of rotation.
