A relay valve is provided for a vehicle. The valve includes a parking brake piston that is displaceable in a housing and an axially displaceable cuff, a first compressed-air chamber for receiving compressed air from a control line is formed between the parking brake piston and the housing. The valve is also provided with a first spring element, which axially applies a pre-loading force to the cuff, and with a second spring element, which axially applies another pre-loading force to the parking brake piston. An axially displaceable service brake piston is arranged axially between the parking brake piston and the cuff, the service brake piston rests at least radially against the parking brake piston and radially against the housing in a sealing manner, in order to form a second compressed-air chamber.

Dual-piston relay valve having an anti-compounding function

A multi-circuit protection valve is provided for a vehicle compressed-air supply device. A first port for a service brake includes two mutually separate service brake circuit ports for a first service brake circuit and a second service brake circuit. The two service brake circuit ports are protected by first and second service brake circuit overflow valves, respectively. A second port for a parking brake, is protected by an overflow valve, wherein one of the two service brake circuits can be filled preferentially. The overflow valve has two active surfaces which can be acted on with a valve inlet pressure and a valve outlet pressure, respectively. The overflow valve has a third active surface, which is acted on with the service brake pressure from the non-preferentially filled service brake circuit. Forces generated by the three active surfaces counteract a closing force in order to open or hold open the overflow valve.

Multi-circuit protection valve for a compressed-air supply device of a vehicle, and method for operating a multi-circuit protection valve

A method is provided for operating a parking brake module that is at least partially integrated into a compressed air generation system in the event of defects, having a control unit, solenoid valves, and a relay valve for aerating and deaerating at least one spring-loaded brake cylinder. A pressure in the parking brake module which is elevated compared to a normal pressure is determined. A constant compressed air delivery is stopped. A reduced switch-off pressure of the compressed air generation system is set. The pressure level in the parking brake module is lowered to the reduced switch-off pressure through repeated activation of the relay valve.

A compressed air supply system and method of operating same for a commercial vehicle includes a compressed air inlet that can be coupled to a compressor, a filter unit that can be coupled to the compressed air inlet via a supply line, a discharge valve element that is coupled to a discharge outlet and the supply line, a first valve element and a second valve element. A control inlet of the discharge valve element is controllable by the first valve element and the second valve element is arranged in a regeneration air path for regenerating the filter unit. At least one pneumatically lockable overflow valve via which a consumer circuit coupled to the compressed air supply system is supplied with compressed air. The at least one pneumatically lockable overflow valve can be controlled by the second valve element.
