The present disclosure relates to a cathodically depositable aqueous electrodeposition coating material including at least one epoxide-amine adduct (a), at least one pigment and/or at least one filler (b), and at least one crosslinking agent (c), a fraction of at least 25 wt % of the crosslinking agent (c), based on the total weight of the crosslinking agent (c), being formed by at least one tris(alkoxycarbonylamino)-1,3,5-triazine; to a method for coating an electrically conductive substrate by cathodic electrodeposition coating using said electrodeposition coating material; to a substrate coated accordingly; and also to a use of a tris(alkoxycarbonylamino)-1,3,5-triazine in a cathodically depositable electrodeposition coating material for reducing or eliminating the sensitivity to disruption of the electrodeposition coating bath toward impurities present therein through phosphates and/or through other metal salts which have been carried into the electrodeposition coating bath as a result of pretreatment steps ahead of the electrodeposition coating.

Electrocoats containing at least one triazine compound

Cathodically depositable electrocoat materials comprising basic bismuth nitrate, further comprising at least one binder having reactive functional groups and at least one crosslinker containing the complementary reactive functional groups which are able to enter into thermal crosslinking reactions.

Use of bismuth subnitrate in electro-dipping paints

Disclosed is cathodic electrodeposition coating comprising at least one binder, at least one crosslinking agent, at least one bismuth compound comprising a basic bismuth nitrate, and a polymethylene urea. In one embodiment, the basic bismuth nitrate compound comprises a bismuth subnitrate of the empirical formula 4(BiNO(OH))BiO(OH).

Cathodic electrodeposition coatings containing polymethylene urea

An agent for the single-stage full blocking of polyisocyanates comprises or consists of an alcohol mixture A) comprising a) furfuryl alcohol or substituted furfuryl alcohols in an amount corresponding to from 60 to 90, in particular from 65 to 85, mol % of hydroxyl groups and b) at least one monoalcohol in an amount corresponding to at least 2 mol % of hydroxyl groups, based in each case on the total amount of hydroxyl groups in components a) and b). In addition, the alcohol mixture A) may also include at least one aliphatic polyol c) of low molecular mass with a functionality of three and/or more in an amount corresponding to at least 5 mol % of hydroxyl groups, based on the total amount of hydroxyl groups in components a), b) and c). In this case component b) can have a molecular weight of <163 g/mol. In a single stage, the blocking agent yields fully blocked polyisocyanates having a low crystallization tendency that are suitable as crosslinking agents in coating compositions, especially in cathodically depositable electrodeposition coating materials.
