A thermal system for a motor vehicle has a coolant-conducting HVS circuit connected to a traction battery, a heating circuit controlling the temperature of a passenger compartment thermally coupled to the HVS circuit, a cooling circuit connected to a heat source and fluidically coupled to the HVS circuit to transfer to the traction battery heat provided by the heat source and transported by the coolant, and a control device configured to, during the heating of the traction battery, branch off at least a proportion of the heat before the transfer to the traction battery and transmit said proportion of the heat into the heating circuit to precondition the heating circuit.

A control system and method for a heating system of an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle is embodied such that when there is a heating request for a passenger compartment of the vehicle, a heating mode is set in order to heat the passenger compartment by heat from a heating circuit. In a mixed mode, an excess heat in the heating circuit is output to the surroundings, or in an excess mode, the excess heat is retained in the heating system, in order to satisfy a heating request. In the mixed mode, a degree of opening of the heating circuit is set such that only a partial quantity of coolant from the heating circuit is exchanged with a cooling circuit. The mixed mode is activated if the excess heat in the heating circuit exceeds a threshold value which is determined in accordance with an external temperature.

Control system for a heating system and method for operating a heating system

A control system and method for a heating system of an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle is embodied such that when there is a heating request for a high-voltage accumulator, an HVA heating mode is activated in which the high-voltage accumulator which is connected to an HVA circuit of the heating system is heated by an HVA heating source which is activated for this purpose so that heat is generated in the HVA circuit or transferred into the circuit. When there is a heating request for a passenger compartment of the vehicle, an air-conditioning heating mode is activated in which the passenger compartment is heated by a heating circuit, with heat which is generated in the heating circuit with an auxiliary heater or is transferred into the heating circuit with a heat pump, or both. When the air-conditioning heating mode is activated, it is determined whether or not there is a heating deficit which indicates whether the heating request can be completely satisfied with the auxiliary heater or with the heat pump or with both. If there is a heating deficit, an auxiliary heating mode is activated in which heat of the HVA heating source is transferred from the HVA circuit into the heating circuit by the heat pump in order to compensate the heating deficit.

A control system for a heating system of an electric or hybrid vehicle with a coolant cooled high voltage store. The control system includes an air conditioning evaporator of a refrigeration circuit of the heating system through which refrigerant circulates to cool the passenger compartment when a cooling requirement for a passenger compartment of the vehicle and for which an air conditioning cooling mode is set. The system further includes a chiller to cool the high voltage store when a cooling requirement for the high voltage store of the vehicle and for which a high voltage store (HVS) cooling mode is set. A heat pump system for air conditioning a vehicle, in particular an electric or hybrid vehicle, includes an air conditioning unit which has an air conditioning evaporator and a heating heat exchanger, for air conditioning a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A condenser transmits heat from a refrigeration circuit into a coolant circuit, and a chiller transmits heat from the coolant circuit into the refrigeration circuit. The coolant circuit has two branches which are parallel to one another downstream of a low temperature cooler, namely a heating branch which can be shut off and in which the condenser and the heating heat exchanger are arranged, and a cooling branch, in which the chiller and a low temperature heat exchanger for cooling a vehicle component are arranged. A thermal system for a vehicle having a comprehensive cooling circuit, a refrigeration circuit, a cooling circuit, a heating circuit, and a plurality of switched states is disclosed. The cooling circuit is connected with a heat source of the vehicle. The cooling circuit has a high-voltage accumulator (HVA) circuit to which a high-voltage accumulator for supplying power to an electric drivetrain of the vehicle is connected. An ambient cooler is connected to the cooling circuit downstream of the heat source. A chiller for transferring heat from the HVA circuit into the refrigeration circuit is also connected to the refrigeration circuit. A first switched state, in which the HVA circuit downstream and upstream of the heat source is connected to the cooling circuit, can be set such that an extended HVA circuit, in which the high-voltage accumulator and the heat source are connected in series is configured.

A cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle includes a coolant circuit through which a coolant can flow, a coolant compressor, a first evaporator, at least one second evaporator, a first suction line for leading the coolant from the first evaporator to the coolant compressor, a second suction line, a main line connected fluidically to suction lines at a connecting point, and at least one internal heat exchanger, through which coolant flowing from the at least one of the evaporators to the coolant compressor can flow. The internal heat exchanger is arranged in at least one of the suction lines and the connecting point is arranged downstream of the at least one heat exchanger.

Cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle, and motor vehicle having such a cooling apparatus

A heating system for an electric or hybrid vehicle is provided. The heating system includes a refrigerant circuit, a heater heat exchanger which is arranged in a heating circuit, for air-conditioning the interior, a high-voltage storage device which is arranged in an HVS circuit, and a cooler which is arranged in a cooling circuit. The heating circuit, the HVS circuit, and the cooling circuit are integrated into a common coolant circuit. In a first HVS cooling operation, the HVS circuit is separated from the cooling circuit and connected to a chiller in order to discharge heat into the refrigerant circuit. In a second HVS cooling operation, the HVS circuit is connected to the cooling circuit via a chiller bypass in order to discharge heat via the cooler.

Heating system for an electric or hybrid vehicle, and method for operating such a heating system

A control system method is disclosed for air-conditioning a vehicle by a heat pump system, wherein one of multiple operating modes is automatically set, depending on the air-conditioning requirement. The passenger space is cooled by an air-conditioning evaporator and/or is heated by a heating heat exchanger. The heating heat exchanger is arranged in a heating branch of a coolant circuit and is provided with heat via a heat pump. If cooling is required, the heating branch is opened and the heating pump is deactivated. If heating is required, the heating branch is closed and heat is fed to the heating heat exchanger via the heat pump. In order to remove heat from the heating branch, same is opened and a low-temperature cooler, the condenser and the heating heat exchanger are operated connected in series.

Control system for air-conditioning a vehicle

A heating system for an electric or hybrid vehicle, to which a high-voltage accumulator is connected, includes a coolant circuit having a heating circuit to which a heating heat exchanger is connected for air-conditioning the interior, and having a cooling circuit to which a cooler and a heat source are connected. The heating system has at least two refrigerating circuits, wherein a first refrigerating circuit includes an air-conditioning evaporator for air-conditioning the interior, and a first condenser, by which the first refrigerating circuit is thermally coupled to the coolant circuit in order to dissipate heat from the first refrigerating circuit. The second refrigerating circuit is thermally coupled by a second condenser to the coolant circuit. The two refrigerating circuits, however, are not coupled to each other. At least one of the refrigerating circuits further includes a chiller in order to dissipate heat from the coolant circuit.

A heat pump system for climate control of an electric or hybrid vehicle includes an air conditioning unit having a heating heat exchanger, and an air conditioning unit evaporator having a refrigeration circuit, in which the air conditioning unit evaporator and a condenser are arranged. The refrigeration circuit includes a low temperature (LT) circuit in which at least one electrical power component is arranged. The heat pump system is configured to switch over between a cooling mode and a heating mode. The condenser, which is configured to transfer heat into the LT circuit, and an LT cooler are incorporated into the LT circuit. In the heating mode, the condenser outputs heat into the LT circuit and from there into a heating circuit, in which the heating heat exchanger is arranged, and in the cooling mode, the condenser outputs heat via the LT circuit to the LT cooler.

Heat pump system for climate control of a vehicle, and method for operating a heat pump system of this type

Temperature control of an interior of a motor vehicle having an electrical drive is carried out by a heat pump arrangement having a heating temperature region and a low temperature region, wherein the heating temperature region includes at least one interior heat exchanger thermally coupled to the interior and the low temperature region includes at least one of an exterior heat exchanger and a heat exchanger disposed on a component of the electrical drive. When the interior of the motor vehicle is be temperature-controlled, heat energy from the heating temperature region of the heat pump arrangement is delivered to the interior of the vehicle, and the operating point of the electrical drive is altered such that the generation of thermal losses is controlled in at least one electrical component of the electrical drive, such that the temperature of the low temperature region in the stationary or quasi-stationary operation is controlled at a level so as to ensure that the heat pump arrangement can provide the heating energy.

Method and air conditioning unit for air conditioning an interior of an electrically driven vehicle

A method of controlling the refrigerant pressure in an ambient heat exchanger of a refrigerant circuit, particularly a heat pump circuit, for vehicles, in which the current temperature and the current humidity of the ambient air is measured, the current dew point temperature of the ambient air is determined from the measured temperature and humidity, and if the ambient air temperature is below 0&#xb0; C. the refrigerant pressure in the refrigerant circuit is controlled by adjusting the rotational speed of a refrigerant compressor of the refrigerant circuit, the flow cross-section of a controllable expansion element of the refrigerant circuit and/or the ambient air volume flow flowing around or through the ambient heat exchanger, such that the temperature of the ambient heat exchanger is greater than the dew point temperature.

Method for controlling the refrigerant pressure in an ambient heat exchanger of a refrigerant circuit

A method of operating a refrigerant circuit as a heat pump is provided. By way of a compressor, refrigerant is compressed and is pumped through a refrigerant/heating heat exchanger. The refrigerant coming from the refrigerant/heating heat exchanger is expanded in at least a first expansion element. The refrigerant expanded by way of the first expansion element flows to a suction input of the compressor through at least one evaporator. At a branch-off point of the refrigerant/heating heat exchanger situated between a refrigerant input and a refrigerant output of the refrigerant/heating heat exchanger, refrigerant is branched off and is guided by way of a second expansion element in the direction of the suction input of the refrigerant compressor.

Method for operating a refrigerant circuit as a heat pump and heat pump operable as a refrigerant circuit

A system with an internal combustion engine which has a heat transfer circuit, a fuel cell and a climate control unit which is accommodated in the heat transfer circuit of the internal combustion engine. The system has a heat transfer arrangement for transferring the exhaust heat of the fuel cell to the heat transfer circuit and a bypass for bridging a segment of the heat transfer circuit which runs through the internal combustion engine so that, in the bypassed operating state, an isolated circuit is formed. In stationary operation, this enables an optimized operating mode since the internal combustion engine is no longer heated and the exhaust heat of the fuel cell is fully available for heating purposes. The climate control unit can have a fuel cell and an arrangement for transferring the heat produced by the fuel cell to the vehicle interior has a fan unit by which an air flow can be produced for cooling the fuel cell and a heating unit which is powered by the fuel cell and by which the air flow for heating the vehicle interior can be additionally heated. For cooling or heating the interior of a motor vehicle, the system can have a cooling circuit with a compressor, a condenser, an expansion element, and a first evaporator and an APU or a fuel cell to electrically power the compressor, and a second cooling circuit a second evaporator, the second cooling circuit being connected to the first cooling circuit.
