An x-ray source device includes an anode for generating x-rays via an electron beam striking a focal point of the anode, the anode being rotatable about an axis of rotation via an electric motor including a stator and a rotor, the stator including a first coil end, relatively nearer to the anode and a second coil end, relatively further from the anode. A laminated core of the stator is arranged between the first and second coil ends. The first coil end includes a first intersection area, relatively further from the focal point and a second intersection area, relatively nearer to the focal point, with respect to the focal plane. A maximal external radius of the second intersection area is relatively smaller than a maximal external radius of the laminated core in the focal plane.

X-ray source device comprising an anode for generating x-rays

A measuring method for a liquid metal slide bearing is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the measuring method includes providing a liquid metal slide bearing to be measured, the liquid metal slide bearing including two bearing parts with liquid metal being arranged between the two bearing parts. The method further includes measuring inductance, or a variable associated with the inductance, of the liquid metal slide bearing; and determining a quantity of liquid metal in the liquid metal slide bearing based upon the inductance, or the variable associated with the inductance, measured. Furthermore, a corresponding measuring device, a liquid metal slide bearing and an x-ray tube and an apparatus are disclosed.

An X-ray arrangement includes a vacuum vessel, a rotating anode and a rotor of an electrical machine being non-rotatably interconnected rotatably mounted in the vacuum vessel, a stator being disposed in a region of the rotor, externally enclosing the vacuum vessel. The stator includes a laminated core which, viewed orthogonally to the axis of rotation, includes a yoke running around the axis of rotation and from which stator teeth extend onto the axis of rotation. A winding system is disposed in spaces between the stator teeth of the laminated stator core. The winding system includes windings, individual turns of the windings each being configured to respectively engage over a plurality of the stator teeth, and the stator being designed such that when identical phase voltages are applied to the individual phases of the winding system, the individual phases are each respectively configured to produce stray magnetic fields of identical magnitude.

X-ray arrangement with stator optimized for minimal focal spot movement

A high-voltage generator provides a high-voltage pulse including a plurality of energy storage cells, each including two input and two output terminals and a capacitor. A controllable switching element is connected to the input terminals and plus terminals and minus terminals are electrically connected to one another via a respective diode. The high-voltage generator further includes a series connection comprising the energy storage cells, a pulse transformer, and a charging terminal for charging the capacitors. In an embodiment, the high-voltage generator is developed so that a greater pulse rate can be achieved. In an embodiment, at least a respective one of the energy storage cells includes an electrical resistance, connected in series with the diode connecting the plus terminals of the respective energy storage cell.

A power converter system includes a first unipolar voltage source that produces a first voltage and a second unipolar voltage source that produces a second voltage. The power converter system also includes a transformer with a first primary winding, a second primary winding, and a secondary winding, and control equipment. The first primary winding is connected to the first unipolar voltage source, and the second primary winding is connected to the second unipolar voltage source such that when the first voltage is applied, a first secondary voltage is induced in the secondary winding and that when the second voltage is applied, a second secondary voltage is induced. The first secondary voltage is directed in opposition to the second secondary voltage. The control equipment drives the first unipolar voltage source and the second unipolar voltage source in alternation for the production of the first voltage and the second voltage.

Power converter system using voltage sources driven in alternation

A method for operating a device having an anode and a cathode for generating microwave radiation with an accelerating voltage is provided. A chronological sequence of the accelerating voltage is provided by a series of voltage pulses. A first voltage pulse with an operating amplitude is applied between the anode and the cathode in order to determine whether an electric flashover occurs during the applied first voltage pulse. A second voltage pulse is applied following the first voltage pulse with a deionization amplitude that is smaller than the operating amplitude when the electric flashover occurs during the applied first voltage pulse.

Generating microwave radiation

A method for operating an arrangement of equipment that include a pulse generator for generating electrical pulses, a microwave generator with a break-through voltage, and a transmission element is provided. For transmission of the pulses, the pulse generator is connected to the microwave generator via the transmission element, which in the arrangement of equipment, acts as an impedance varying over time. The voltage characteristic over time or the current characteristic over time of each pulse is defined such that in an operating mode, the impedance of the transmission element is matched to the impedance of the microwave generator when the break-through voltage is reached.

An improved x-ray tube that includes a plurality of cathodes in a region under vacuum is provided. Several wirelessly activatable elements, which are each assigned to a cathode or a group of cathodes, are arranged in the region under vacuum and make an electrically conducting connection of the cathode or the group of cathodes to a cathode control voltage line when receiving a control signal from outside of the region under vacuum. A system that includes the improved x-ray tube and several transmitter elements for the wireless activation of the wirelessly activatable elements is also provided.

Multicathode X-ray tube

A method for controlling a pulse generator is provided. The method includes measuring a switch-on time difference for each cell and controlling the semiconductor switches of each cell for the voltage pulse as a function of the switch-on time difference. The switch-on time difference is measured between a switch-on signal for switching the respective semiconductor switch of the cell to a conducting state and a system response dependent on the switching to the conducting state. A second switch-on signal for each cell is generated in such a time-shifted manner that the system response of each cell occurs simultaneously. The system response is dependent on the switching to the conducting state.
