The present disclosure directs to a system and method for ultrasound imaging. The method may include obtaining a total count of detecting members of a detector of an ultrasound scanner and a directivity angle of each detecting member of the detector. The method may also include obtaining one or more focuses each of which corresponds to a transmission of ultrasound waves of the ultrasound scanner, wherein the one or more focuses are located within the detector. The method may further include determining a synthetic aperture for each of one or more transmissions corresponding to the one or more focuses based on the total count of the detecting members of the detector, the directivity angle of each detecting member of the detector, and the one or more focuses, the synthetic aperture including at least one detecting member of the detector.

System and method for ultrasound imaging

An ultrasonic system includes an ultrasonic probe and a data processing unit which is physically separate from the ultrasonic probe, runs on an operating system and has a receiving memory and a transmission memory. A real-time bus system is for data coupling of the ultrasonic probe to the memories. A probe system manages data within the ultrasonic probe, the clock inaccuracy of the probe system is at least three orders of magnitude less than the clock inaccuracy of the real-time bus system. The response time of the operating system is at least two orders of magnitude longer than the clock inaccuracy of the real-time bus system. The real-time bus system is configured to transfer transmission data and received data simultaneously by uninterrupted streaming clocked with an on average constant rate during stateless operation of the ultrasonic probe, the operation not differentiating between transmission and receiving operation.

A minimalist MRI RF coil may have some elements that form a traditional coil located off the coil in off coil circuitry. An MR procedure may involve a number of minimalist MRI RF coils that are moved through an excitation zone as a patient is moved through the excitation zone. Example minimalist MRI RF coils may be selectively connected to off coil circuitry while the coils are in the excitation zone. The coupling may be made by capacitive coupling plates.
