Described herein is a process for making PTFE having a standard specific gravity of less than 2.160 g/cmcomprising: polymerizing a tetrafluoroethylene monomer in an aqueous medium comprising an emulsifier and an initiator in a reaction vessel and contacting the aqueous medium with a fluorinated polyether. Also described herein are the polymerizable compositions and articles thereof.

Process for producing PTFE and articles thereof

There are provided compositions comprising (i) at least one non-aromatic polyol compound containing at least one polyol unit having at least two hydroxyl groups and at least one long chain unit containing at least 6 carbon atoms; and (ii) at least one fluoropolymer comprising repeating units derived from a fluorinated olefin. There are also provided methods of improving the shear stability of fluoropolymer dispersions, methods of coating substrates, and substrates coated with the above described composition.

A method for treating hard tissue infection in a site-specific manner, comprising preparing a negative mold of the hard tissue using an impression material which contains a diagnostic additive which generates an identifiable signal on contact with infected tissue; applying a treatment agent to the negative mold at one or more of infected sites; and re-applying the negative mold on the originally molded hard tissue for a suitable period of time. Also disclosed are methods for making the negative mold, a mouthpiece corresponding to the negative mold, and a treatment device, as well as the treatment device and mouse piece so produced.

Use of moulding compounds for producing treatment devices

The invention relates to filling systems containing as component i) a sealing system which is capable of bonding to the tooth hard substance, as component ii) a filling material suitable for restorative dentistry, the filling system containing in addition a component iii) in component i) and/or component ii) which reduces the curing of the respective other component by disturbance of the curing mechanism only in the boundary layer between sealant and filling material such that the bonding between components i) and ii) is less than the bonding of component i) to the tooth hard substance.
