A method for operating a motor vehicle with an automated gearbox (), which can be connected, via a clutch (), to a prime mover (). The output rotational speed of the gearbox () is detected by sensors and evaluated for plausibility by comparison with an arithmetic mean value of sensor-detected rotational speeds of the rear wheels () of the motor vehicle. It is also possible to determine plausibility, using the arithmetic mean of the sensor-detected rotational speeds of the front wheels (), in case of a failure of at least one of both generated signals () of the rotational speed sensors () of the rear wheels () for checking the plausibility of the output rotational speed of the gearbox ().

Method for operating a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a method for determining a point of application of the clutch of an automatic gearbox without a synchronised reverse action. The aim of said invention is to improve the determination of the point of application avoiding the use of sensorial information on an engine. For this purpose, the point of application is determined as each point of the clutch releasing where a torque transmitted by the gearbox is sufficiently important for releasing the teeth () of a sliding sleeve () in a tooth-to-tooth position against the teeth () of the clutch body () of the reverse gear toothed wheel.

A transmission () for a motor vehicle () with a housing () and a shifting apparatus arranged therein and with an electromechanical transmission actuator () with a first electric motor () for exercising a selection motion of the shifting device with a second electric motor () for exercising a shifting motion of the shifting apparatus and with a control unit () for receiving sensor signals, for processing the sensor signals and for emitting control signals to the electric motors () the axis of rotation of the first electric motor () and the axis of rotation of the second electric motor () lie parallel to each other.
