The state of an application is capture in a conversation by accessing an electronic document representation of a user interface at a time corresponding to a post to the conversation. The user interface is of an application associated with the conversation. The representation is processed to generate an image representative of a state of the application at the time. The image or a representation thereof is caused to be displayed in the post to reflect the state of the application at selected point along a timeline defined by the conversation.

Examples disclosed herein relate to creating a first document skeleton associated with a first state of an application, creating a second document skeleton associated with a second state of the application, determining, according to a comparison of the first document skeleton and a second document skeleton, whether a transition occurred in the application, and in response to determining that the transition occurred in the application, logging a measured metric associated with the application.

Detecting transitions

In some examples, a first skeleton of a layout of a first version of an application screen may be compared with a second skeleton of a layout of a second version of the application screen. It may be determined whether the first version of the application screen is malformed based on the comparison.

Example implementations disclosed herein relate to a system for generating an element identifier comprising an action engine to receive an action associated with an element of a structured document and to measure a metric associated with the received action. The system may further comprise an element engine to determine whether the element comprises a targeted element and, in response to determining that the element comprises the targeted element, generate a unique identifier according to a modified attribute of the element. The system may further comprise a log engine to create a log record comprising the unique identifier and the metric associated with the received action.

Element identifier generation

Examples disclosed herein relate to a system for generating an element identifier comprising an action engine to identify at least one event listener associated with a significant event in an application, receive an action associated with an element of the application, generate a composite event sequence comprising a plurality of event listeners associated with the action, and determine whether the composite event sequence is associated with the at least one significant event. The system may further comprise a metric engine to measure a performance metric associated with the received action and create a log record according to the composite event sequence comprising the performance metric.
