A data communication interface for an agricultural utility vehicle, particularly an agricultural tractor, having an interface connector that can be connected either to a first data communication network or to a second data communication network by means of an electrically operatable changeover device, wherein the first data communication network is terminated at a line end associated with the interface connector by means of a disconnectable terminating resistor, and having a control unit that connects the interface connector to the first data communication network by means of appropriate operating of the changeover device exclusively when it infers the presence of a control signal that is provided for disconnecting the terminating resistor.

A self-propelled harvesting machine includes a chassis supported on driven front ground wheels and steerable rear ground wheels. A crop harvesting attachment is supported on steerable driven wheels and is mounted to the front of the harvesting machine for pivoting about an upright axis. The harvesting attachment delivers harvested crop to an intermediate conveyor which feeds the crop to an input conveyor of the harvesting machine. The present invention is directed to a device for steering a second agricultural machine which can be steered over a field relative to a first agricultural machine. The device includes a distance meter mounted on one of the machines and operable for recording measured values with regard to direction and distance of objects adjacent to the distance meter over a horizontal region. The device also includes an evaluating means which is connected to the distance meter and is designed to output a steering signal for causing guidance of the second machine relative to the first machine on the basis of the measured values of the distance meter.

An agricultural machine comprises an electronic control device, an actuator, which is actuated under external power, for adjustment of at least one working parameter of the agricultural machine, and a sensor, which is connected to the control device, for detection of the vertical position of the agricultural machine. It is proposed that the control device can be operated so as to derive from the signals of the sensor which topographical zone of a number of topographical zones of a field the agricultural machine is situated in each case, and to activate the actuator as a function of the respective topographical zone.

An agricultural machine includes a lifting apparatus to which an implement or tool is attached. A control system controls the lifting apparatus in response to sensed parameters and operator inputs. The control system includes a first acceleration sensor positioned on the lifting apparatus and/or on the implement, and at least one reference acceleration sensor positioned on the vehicle. The control system includes an electronic control unit which processes acceleration signals from the acceleration sensors and generates a lift apparatus or implement position signal as a function thereof.
