A method for receiving wireless audio streams in a hearing device includes: receiving audio packages of a primary audio stream from a primary transmitter unit having a primary transmitter unit address; evaluating a first parameter of the primary audio stream; and if the first parameter fulfills a search criterion: searching for pilot packages from available transmitter units; determining an optimum transmitter unit based on one or more pilot package parameters of the pilot packages from the available transmitter units; and receiving audio packages of an audio stream from the optimum transmitter unit.

Hearing device and a method for receiving wireless audio streaming

A hearing aid includes: an input transducer configured to output an audio signal based on a signal applied to the input transducer; a processor configured to compensate a hearing loss of a user of the hearing aid and to output a hearing loss compensated audio signal; an output transducer configured to output an auditory output signal based on the hearing loss compensated audio signal, wherein the auditory output signal is to be received by a human auditory system; a wireless communication unit; and an operating system configured to control the wireless communication unit to perform communication with one or more devices, wherein the operating system comprises a scheduler configured to receive communication requests associated with respective communication tasks and to schedule at least one of the communication tasks based on a task priority and a state of a power supply of the hearing aid.

A method for operating an audio system for transmitting wireless audio streams to a hearing system comprising a hearing device, the audio system comprising a communication unit and a radio system comprising a transmitter unit, the method includes: receiving request data comprising hearing device identification data and a request indicative of an audio track; determining radio system configuration data based on at least a part of the request data; and transmitting an audio stream by the transmitter unit according to the determined radio system configuration data, wherein the audio stream comprises audio stream data and audio identification data for allowing the hearing system to receive the audio stream representative of the requested audio track.

Audio system for audio streaming and associated method

A method for operating an audio system for transmitting wireless audio streams to a hearing system, the wireless audio streams comprising a first audio stream and a second audio stream, the audio system comprising a communication unit and a radio system comprising stationary transmitter units for transmitting at least the first audio stream with first audio identification data indicative of the first audio stream and the second audio stream with second audio identification data indicative of the second audio stream, the stationary transmitter units including a first transmitter unit and a second transmitter unit, the method includes: receiving a request indicative of an audio track; determining configuration data based on the request indicative of the audio track; and transmitting the configuration data to the hearing system for allowing the hearing system to receive one of the first and second audio streams representative of the audio track indicated in the request.

A method for transmitting wireless audio streams in an audio system comprising a first transmitter unit, the method includes: transmitting a first audio block in a first audio frame, the first audio block comprising a first primary audio package having a transmitter unit address of the first transmitter unit; transmitting a first primary pilot package, the first primary pilot package comprising the transmitter unit address of the first transmitter unit, a first primary time offset, and a channel identifier of a first primary audio package of a second audio block in a second audio frame; and transmitting the first primary audio package of the second audio block at a start time depending on the first primary time offset and the channel identifier.
