Subsea heating assembly, comprising a component interface cable () in association with a subsea component (') to be heated. The component interface cable receives power from an electric power source. The power source comprises an induction coupler () with core rings which surround an alternating current carrying source cable (), and a winding cable () wound around the core ring The winding cable connects to the component interface cable. The induction coupler comprises an upper section () with first core parts () and a lower section () with second core parts (). The winding cable is arranged in the upper section. The first core parts are aligned with second core parts when the upper section is landed on the lower section. The upper section is removable from the lower section.

Subsea heating assembly and method of heating a subsea component

A subsea direct electrical heating assembly adapted to heat a hydrocarbon conducting steel pipeline () arranged subsea. The assembly comprises a direct electrical heating cable () extending along and being connected to the steel pipeline () and a power transmission cable () receiving electric power from a power supply () which is arranged onshore or at surface offshore, and which feeds the direct electrical heating cable (). The subsea direct electrical heating assembly comprises a power conditioning arrangement () arranged at a subsea location, in a position between the power transmission cable () and the direct electrical heating cable (). The power transmission cable () extends from the offshore or onshore power supply () and down to the power conditioning arrangement ().

Long step out direct electric heating assembly

A power cable (C), or power umbilical, comprising a number of electric high power cables () for transfer of large amounts of electric power/energy; filler material () in the form of stiff elongate plastic elements; the number of electric high power cables () and stiff elongate plastic elements () being gathered in a twisted bundle by means of a laying operation; a protective sheath () that encompasses the electric cables and the filler material; and at least one longitudinally extending channel () is provided for forced flow transportation of a cooling agent through said power cable/umbilical in order to cool down the electric high power cables () and their insulation material from a critical temperature value of about 90&#xb0; C.

Arrangement for cooling power cables, power umbilicals and cables

An arrangement on board a vessel to be able to strap at least one cable to a pipeline during continuous and contemporary deployment of the strapped pipe bundle into the sea is shown. The arrangement includes at least a strapping machine which is arranged to be moved forward together with the cable and pipeline in order to perform a strapping operation in concert with the forward advancement thereof. The strapping machine is also moveable rearwards relative to the cable and pipeline for the repositioning to the next strapping operation such that the application of a strap or straps takes place intermittently under the continuous deployment of the pipe bundle. Means for continuous motorized advancement of the respective pipes and cables towards the strapping machine and further into the sea is also arranged.

Strapping machine

A production/injection line including a production/injection tube and heating apparatus for heating of the production/injection tube. The line also includes insulation and heat conductive material to control the heat transfer from the heating apparatus towards the production/injection tube. A method is also described for supplying heat to a production/injection line in which cooling fluid from a process on an installation is supplied to transport channels extending along a production/injection tube. Methods are also described for manufacturing a production/injection line.

Production/injection line and methods relating to same

A subsea control cable includes an outer sheath and cables, conduits etc. arranged inside the sheath, and also at least one weight element. The weight element includes at least one strength member extending continuously along the entire length of the control cable, to which strength member there is attached a weight element or elements. The weight of the weight element in relation to the diameter of the control cable varies along the length of the control cable, e.g., from a predetermined minimum weight/diameter ratio, where the weight element consists only of the strength element, to a predetermined maximum weight/diameter ratio, where the cross-section of the control cable is filled to the maximum with the weight member.
