The invention relates to a method for producing syngas in combined operation with a metallurgical plant which comprises at least one blast furnace for producing crude iron, a converter steel mill and a coke-oven plant. Part of the blast-furnace top gas that is produced in the production of crude iron and/or part of the converter gas that occurs in the converter steel mill and/or part of the coke-oven gas that is produced in the coke-oven plant are mixed. By choosing the gas streams that are brought together to form a mixed gas and/or by changing the mixing ratios of the gas streams that are brought together, at least two streams of useful gas are produced, differing with regard to their composition and respectively prepared to form streams of syngas.

Method for generating synthesis gas in conjunction with a smelting works

The invention relates to a plant complex for steel production comprising a blast furnace for producing pig iron, a converter steel mill for producing crude steel and a gas-conducting system for gases that occur in the production of pig iron and/or in the production of crude steel. According to the invention, the plant complex additionally has a chemical or biotechnological plant connected to the gas-conducting system and a plant for producing hydrogen. The plant for producing hydrogen is connected to the gas-conducting system by a hydrogen-carrying line. Also the subject of the invention is a method for operating the plant complex.

The invention relates to a process for preparing ammonia gas and COfor urea synthesis. In the process of the invention, a process gas containing nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide as main components is produced from a metallurgical gas. The metallurgical gas consists of blast furnace gas, or contains blast furnace gas at least as a mixing component. The process gas is fractionated to give a gas stream containing the COcomponent and a gas mixture consisting primarily of Nand H. An ammonia gas suitable for the urea synthesis is produced from the gas mixture by means of ammonia synthesis. COis branched off from the CO-containing gas stream in a purity and amount suitable for the urea synthesis.

A method for removing acid gases from a fluid flow using an absorbent including an aqueous solution with at least two different amines. An amine in a proportion of greater than 50 wt. % of the total amine amount in the aqueous solution is the first amine component in the aqueous solution, and a sterically hindered amine in a proportion of less than 50 wt. % is the second amine component in the aqueous solution. The fluid flow is brought into contact with the absorbent at a partial pressure of &#x3c;200 mbar.

With a method and a system for treatment of a hot crude gas generated by an entrained flow gasification system, removal of the compounds that contain sulfur and carbon is supposed to be undertaken in such a manner that hot gas is made available for further use. This is achieved in that a desulfurization () follows the gasifier (), in series, in the flow path of the hot gas, followed by a solid separation (), whereby behind the solid separation (), a partial stream () of the gas is provided downstream by way of a water quench (), a Venturi scrubber (), a crude gas cooler (), as well as an HO separation () and a compressor (), the flow path () of which is passed back, cooled, into the circuit, behind the gasification () and ahead of the desulfurization system.

Hot gas purification

A modular construction micro-reactor with parallel microchannels on fluid guide plates for chemical reactions, but not for evaporation purposes is known. A modular construction falling film evaporator is disclosed, comprising a stack of alternate gap-like evaporation chambers and sheet-like evaporator modules with an assembly of parallel microchannels, whereby the evaporation chambers are open above and/or below across the whole width of the module and the stack is arranged in a container. The falling film evaporator is used in a method for obtaining a gaseous phase from a liquid medium on a technical scale and is suitable for the concentration of thermolabile solutions and rapidly adjustable production of a gas stream.

The present invention discloses a microreactor for performing heterogeneous catalytic reactions, being of plate or stack construction for industrial use, with provision made for chambers between the plates for the chemical reaction and for the heat removal. Inside the reaction chambers, catalyst material is applied to the internal walls or filled into recesses, and in all chambers there are spacers. In particular the slot-shaped reaction chambers have channels with a hydraulic diameter smaller than 1500 &#x3bc;m and a ratio of free slot width to free slot height in the range of 10 to 450.
