A method and a device for grinding strand-like fibrous material, wherein the strand-like fibrous material is fed towards the cutting edge of a cutting mechanism and wherein a moveable striking mechanism for grinding the fibrous material cooperates with the cutting mechanism. Associated with the cutting mechanism is a moveable clamping mechanism, by means of which the fibrous material is clamped in an oscillating manner. To produce optimally uniform fibrous shreds, as defined by the position of the cutting edge, the fibrous material is guided through an oscillating clamping gap formed between the clamping mechanism and the cutting mechanism, wherein the clamping mechanism is guided in a back and forth clamping movement relative to the cutting mechanism. For this purpose, the clamping gap is formed by arranging the clamping mechanism and the cutting mechanism opposite one another in a clamping plane.

Method and device for grinding strand-like fibrous material

A device for dry-forming a fibrous web, in which a plurality of fibers or fiber mixtures is supplied to a forming head by means of an air flow, is described. The forming head includes a forming outlet arranged above a gas-permeable deposit belt. The fibers deposited on the deposit belt within a forming zone are continuously conveyed out of the forming zone by the deposit belt. A clearance of the forming zone formed between the forming head and the deposit belt is shielded with respect to the surroundings by several sealing means. To obtain as uniform a composition of the fiber layer as possible when depositing the fibers, the sealing means arranged on a feed side forms an inlet opening having an adjustable inflow cross-section through which a defined secondary air flow flows from the surroundings into the clearance.

Device for dry-forming a fibrous web

A method and a device for the dry forming of a fiber web, in which a multiplicity of fibers or fiber mixtures are fed to a forming head by means of an air flow is described. The forming head produces a fiber stream which is introduced into a clearance of a forming zone between the forming head and a laydown belt. To obtain as uniform a construction of the fiber layer as possible during the laying down of the fibers, the fibers of the fiber stream run through the clearance within the forming zone with free sections of different lengths. To this end, the forming head and the laydown belt are held in a non-parallel arrangement, with the result that the clearance is formed by different spacings between the laydown belt and the forming outlet of the forming head.

Method and device for the dry forming of a fiber web

A process for making an absorbent component comprises the steps of providing individual sheets of fibrous material, conveying the individual sheets of fibrous material to a cutting edge of a cutting mechanism, feeding the individual sheets of fibrous material through an oscillating clamping gap formed between a clamping mechanism and the cutting mechanism, grinding the individual sheets of fibrous material to form fibrous shreds, and laying the fibrous shreds on a forming belt to form the absorbent component.

Process for making absorbent component

A device and a method for serially depositing a filamentary strand into several cans of a can creel with a traversable depositing device. The depositing device comprises a conveyance means which is held in such a manner that it can be moved and which can be guided into several depositing positions. The strand is fed continuously to the conveyance means and from each depositing position at least one of the cans of the can creel can be filled by the conveyance means. In order to make the filling of a plurality of cans in the can creel as rapid and flexible as possible, the depositing device comprises a robot with a multi-axis robot arm, where the robot carries the conveyance means at the free end of its robot arm. Thus, the conveyance means can be guided, in its positioning as well as in its movements for filling the can, by the multi-axis robot arm of the robot.

Device and method for depositing a filamentary strand

An apparatus for depositing a filament tow in a stationary can. To this end, the filament tow is conveyed to the can by a conveyance means which includes a pair of driven reels. For deposition into the can, the filament tow is guided in such a way that the feed position of the filament tow in the can constantly changes. To allow the filament tow to be deposited with a high filling density, for deposition into the can the filament tow is guided by two separate oscillating motions of the conveyance means during conveying which are transverse to the conveyance direction. In this manner, undesired reactions on the filament tow are advantageously avoided during deposition.

Apparatus for depositing a filament tow

The invention relates to a method and to a device for depositing a filament tow in a stationary can. To this end, the filament tow is conveyed to the can by a conveyance means, and for deposition into the can the filament tow is guided in such a way that the feed position of the filament tow in the can constantly changes. To allow the filament tow to be deposited with a high filling density, for deposition into the can the filament tow is guided according to the invention by oscillating motions of the conveyance means during conveying which are transverse to the conveyance direction. In this manner, undesired reactions on the filament tow are advantageously avoided during deposition.
