An energy storage system includes: a housing, in which volume-variable storage cells are arranged; and a device for controlling a temperature of the storage cells, the device being assigned to the storage cells. The device has contact sections for contacting the storage cells. The device has flexible regions for adapting a position of the contact sections to a position of the storage cells. The contact sections adjoin the flexible regions.

A seal assembly includes: a seal element; a part to be sealed; and a measuring arrangement for monitoring an aging of the seal element. The seal element is held on the part so as to provide a contact stress between the seal element and the part. The seal element has a contact face with which the seal element bears against the part. At least one measuring component of the measuring arrangement is integrated in each case into the seal element and into the part. The contact face of the seal element has a surface geometry with depressions.

An energy storage system includes a housing in which a plurality of storage cells are arranged. The storage cells are thermally insulated from each other via a device arranged between the storage cells. The device is designed in such a way that the storage cells are spaced apart from each other. The device is made from temperature-resistant material. The device has projections and depressions. The device contains a material which is configured to be subjected to an endothermic chemical conversion when a temperature of 200&#xb0; C. is exceeded.

A sensor element includes: a supporting body; and a sensor body, the sensor body being planar in shape, being made of an elastic material, and having a first surface and a second surface coated so as to be electrically conductive. The sensor body includes a measuring segment and a fastening segment. A layer thickness of the fastening segment is greater than a layer thickness of the measuring segment.

A sensor element includes: a supporting body; and a sensor body, the sensor body being planar and being formed of an elastic material, a first surface and a second surface of the sensor body each having an electrically conductive coating. The supporting body and the sensor body are integrally formed.

A seal arrangement for sealing a gap between a machine element comprising a shaft and a housing includes: at least one sealing element formed, at least partially, from polymeric material. The at least one sealing element is of annular design and is made of PTFE. The at least one sealing element has at least one first annular element and at least one second annular element. The at least one first element is electrically conductive and the at least one second element is electrically insulating. The at least one first element is arranged axially adjacently to the at least one second element. The at least one sealing element is provided with electrically conductive contact elements. The housing has an installation space forming an annular groove for the at least one sealing element. The installation space is provided with a lining forming an insulation.

Seal arrangement

A sealing arrangement for sealing a gap between a machine element and a housing includes: at least one sealing element; and an insulation which electrically insulates the at least one sealing element from the machine element and the housing. The at least one sealing element is at least partially electrically conductive.

In an embodiment, the present invention provides a seal with at least one sealing lip to seal a gap between a machine component and a housing, including: a main body made from resilient material, the main body being equipped such that it is electrically conductive and is covered with a jacket made from an electrically insulating material on at least part of its outer side. The jacket is assigned to at least those regions of the main body that are in contact with the machine component and the housing.

A flange seal has a support body of a tough, hard material, and a sealing element of a rubbery-elastic material, that are interconnected in a single piece, the sealing element having a sealing edge that can be exposed to a medium to be sealed in a chamber to be sealed. In the state resulting from manufacture, the sealing element has cavities in the region of the sealing edge, which cavities vary in volume during use of the flange seal as intended.

A frame can be mounted easily in an arrangement and which protects the cells received in the arrangement in as optimum manner as possible with high operational suitability, a frame for fixing cells, has a frame body, in which at least one cooling duct for a cooling medium is configured, wherein the frame has at least one plug-in piece for connecting to another frame, wherein the cooling duct runs at least partially within the plug-in piece.

A pressure equalization element for a housing, such as a lithium-ion accumulator, includes a membrane and at least two parallel non-return valves. The membrane is connected in series to the non-return valves, which are positioned opposite each other. The non-return valves are formed by two valve plates and a valve membrane. The plates define at least one outlet chamber and at least one inlet chamber which each have a respective entry opening and exit opening. The membrane is positioned between the plates and includes at least two valve dampers, the entry openings of the inlet and outlet chambers sealed by a respective damper. Pressure equalization elements of this type can thus be cost-effectively and logically implemented via few components, while avoiding loose components. Such elements can be included in, for example, a housing, battery cell module, or motor vehicle.
