Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless device may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure for a narrowband communication that provides time and frequency synchronization and/or scheduling information for an ultra-wideband (UWB) communication. The wireless device may transmit the narrowband communication in response to the LBT procedure being successful. The wireless device may transmit the UWB communication based at least in part on the time and frequency synchronization and/or scheduling information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Narrowband communication for ultra-wideband communication

Aspects relate to wireless communication at a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device may include a transmitter configured to communicate using a first communication protocol, a receiver configured to communicate using a second communication protocol, different from the first communication protocol, a first antenna coupled to the transmitter, a second antenna coupled to the receiver and physically separated from the first antenna by a variable distance. The wireless communication device transmits, via the first antenna, a first transmission within a first frequency range, and receives via the second antenna, a second transmission within a second frequency range that overlaps the first frequency range. To receive the second transmission, the device may perform a radio frequency coexistence mitigation procedure based on the variable distance between the first antenna and the second antenna in response to detection of a concurrency in time between the first transmission and the second transmission.

Adaptive radio frequency coexistence mitigation

A first device may establish, with a second device, a short-range wireless communications link. The first device may determine a time interval between each of a set of packets to be transmitted over a short-range wireless communications link with a second device. The first device may encode data with a bitrate that is based on the time interval. The first device may packetize the encoded data in the set of packets. The first device may transmit the set of packets to the second device or the short-range wireless communications link, and each of the set of packets may be separated by the time interval when transmitted.

Low-latency audio streaming with communication coexistence

Systems, methods, and apparatus are described that provide for communicating coexistence messages over a multi-drop serial bus. A method performed at a device coupled to a serial bus includes receiving first coexistence information directed to a first device coupled to the serial bus, generating a first coexistence message representative of the first coexistence information, converting the first coexistence message to obtain a first datagram including the first coexistence information, and transmitting the first datagram to the first device over the serial bus. The first coexistence message may be configured for communication through a point-to-point data link. The first datagram may be configured according to a first protocol associated with the serial bus.

Enhanced WCI-2 message for coexistence management

Disclosed are processes, devices and systems for exchanging messages between devices in support of measuring ranges between devices. In one particular implementation, a first wireless transceiver device may transmit one or more fine timing measurement (FTM) messages to a second wireless transceiver device, and receive a message acknowledging receipt of at least one of the one or more FTM messages. The first wireless transceiver device may authenticate the received message as being transmitted from the second wireless transceiver device.

Methods and systems for a ranging protocol

Methods, devices, and computer-readable media for wireless communication may involve techniques for managing multi-user (MU) operation when a device in a wireless network has coexisting radios. Such techniques may involve identifying a change in a multiple radio access technology (RAT) coexistence status of a first device, e.g., a change between a coexistence status that is not disruptive to MU communications and one that is disruptive. For a device communicating with a network using Wi-Fi, the change in the multiple RAT coexistence status may indicate a change between inactive Bluetooth (BT) communications and active BT communications concurrent with Wi-Fi communications. Based at least in part on the identified change in the multiple RAT coexistence status, a MU communications operation at a second device may be adjusted, for example, by disabling MU communication between the first and second devices over a first RAT when the first device changes to a coexistence status that may disrupt MU communications.

Multi-user operation management

A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to identify interference information associated with at least one traffic stream. The apparatus is further configured to transmit a message to an access point. The message includes a stream ID associated with the interference information and with the at least one traffic stream. The message includes the interference information, and the interference information includes an offset value and an interval/duration value.

WLAN AP-assisted multi-way coexistence

A method and apparatus for concurrent wireless communications on multiple channels of the same frequency band. A wireless device receives a first data signal via a first transceiver chain while concurrently initiating a transmission of a second data signal via a second transceiver chain of the wireless device. The wireless device suspends updates to one or more tracking loops of the first transceiver chain in response to initiating the transmission of the second data signal. The updates to the one or more tracking loops may be suspended prior to transmitting the second set of data from the second transceiver chain. The wireless device may subsequently resume updates to the one or more tracking loops of the first transceiver chain after completing the transmission of the second data signal.

Skip RX during SBS transmission

Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a wireless device having collocated radios employing different radio access technologies (RATs). For example, a second radio of the wireless device may receive a first scheduling message. The first scheduling message may include information relating to timing, priority, transmission power, and radio capabilities. Using this scheduling message, a determination of whether a first radio employing a first RAT and the second radio employing a second RAT can transmit in parallel may be made. A first transmission on the first radio may be coordinated with a second transmission on the second radio based on the determination of whether the first radio and the second radio can transmit in parallel. A number of data units may be aggregated into an aggregate frame to be transmitted by the second radio. The number of data units may be based on the scheduling message.

Transmission coordination for collocated radios

A method and apparatus for concurrent wireless communications on multiple channels of the same frequency band. A wireless device determines when a first transceiver chain of the wireless device is to receive a first data signal. The wireless device then transmits a second data signal via a second transceiver chain of the wireless device based at least in part on the determination. The wireless device further suspends the transmission of the second data signal in response to the determination that the first transceiver chain is to receive the first data signal.

Align transmissions for SBS

System, methods and apparatus are described that facilitate transmission of data, particularly between two devices within an electronic apparatus. Each device can contend for control of a communications link by driving a data signal to a first voltage level. If the data signal or a clock signal changes before an arbitration time period has elapsed, one or more devices yield control of the communications link to another contender. The arbitration time period for each contender is different and indicates a priority of the message to be transmitted. A shorter arbitration time period indicates higher priority. Arbitration may commence after clock and data signals of the communications link remain in an idle or other predefined state for a minimum idle time. The minimum idle time may be different for different nodes and may be shorter for high priority messages or nodes.

Multipoint interface shortest pulse width priority resolution

A peripheral device and a method for programming the read/writeable memory of the RFID circuitry by communications between either RF antenna or bus communications port controller interface or both. In the peripheral device, an EEPROM, bus communications controller interface, NFC interface, antenna, and logic controller operate to receive and transmit configuration and calibration data between a wireless personal area network circuit and an external wireless personal area network enabled device. The dual interfaced EEPROM is operable to share or partition its EEPROM between an NFC interface and a bus communications controller.

A common coexistence timer can be implemented on collocated or proximate wireless radio devices so that timing information associated with scheduled communications of each of the wireless radio devices is communicated with a common time reference. The coexistence timer provides the common time reference for the wireless radio devices. A transmitting wireless radio device can calculate a difference time associated with the timing information of a scheduled communication and can provide the difference time to a receiving wireless radio device. The receiving wireless radio device can convert the difference time into a time format corresponding to the receiving wireless radio device's local time reference. This can minimize interference between the collocated or proximate wireless radio devices, thus minimizing performance degradation, packet collision, and interference. Moreover, this also can eliminate timing errors due to the wireless radio devices using different timers operating at different frequencies or being synchronized to different crystals.

Coexistence timer mechanism for wireless communication systems

A mechanism can be implemented for reducing the power consumption of a wireless radio device in establishing a wireless connection by utilizing a wideband signal to detect a narrowband trigger signal at a potential narrowband trigger frequency. The wireless radio device may operate a wideband receiver to receive an RF signal. Being aware of the potential narrowband trigger frequencies, the wideband receiver may utilize the received RF signal to detect the presence of a narrowband trigger signal at one of the potential narrowband trigger frequencies.

A device and method are disclosed for reducing the power consumption of a wireless radio device in establishing a wireless connection by predicting a probability of a positive correlation. The wireless radio device may power up a radio receiver of a connectable device to receive a portion of a sync word from a requesting device, determine a correlation value based on the received portion of the sync word and an expected sync word and if the correlation value is less than a threshold value, power down the radio receiver of the connectable device. Additionally, if the correlation value is greater than a threshold value, the entire sync word may be received from the requesting device and a correlation value may be determined based on the entire sync word and the expected sync word.
