A gas-insulated high or medium voltage circuit breaker comprising: a first arcing contact and a second arcing contact, wherein at least one of the two arcing contact is axially movable along a switching axis, wherein during a breaking operation, an arc between the first arcing contact and the second arcing contact is formed in a arcing region; a buffer housing defining a pressurizing volume; a nozzle arranged at a nozzle side of the pressurizing volume, the nozzle defining a channel connected to the pressurizing volume and directed to the arcing region, for blowing an arc extinguishing gas towards the arcing region during the breaking operation, the nozzle comprising a nozzle front face facing towards the interior of the pressurizing volume.

A simplified construction of a gas-insulated high-power circuit breaker with a saving of components is achieved by at least one hole and at least one leaf spring, which is fastened on one side and is elastically bendable in dependence upon the pressure of the insulating gas in the compression volume, being formed in a valve plate of the valve. The bendable spring closes off the hole when the circuit breaker closes and opens it when the circuit breaker opens as soon as the pressure of the compressed insulating gas in the compression volume exceeds the value of the gas pressure in the low-pressure chamber by at least two bar.

Gas-insulated high-voltage power circuit breaker

A gas-blast circuit breaker is disclosed which includes a first contact and a second contact which can move relative to one another along a longitudinal axis. A blowout volume is arranged around the first contact. The blowout volume can be connected via a gas channel to an arc zone, in order to blow out an arc which is struck when the first contact is disconnected from the second contact. The blowout volume can be bounded radially on an outside by a separating element which separates the blowout volume from a low-pressure area. A flow opening, which allows a gas exchange, can lead in a radial direction from the low-pressure area into the blowout volume.

An electrical circuit breaker has a first contact piece which can be moved in a first movement range along a switching axis and has an arcing contact, a second contact piece which can move along the switching axis and which has a further arcing contact, a drive for moving the first contact piece and a gear for transferring the movement of the first contact piece to the second contact piece. The gear has a first dead point which is passed through on the output drive side by the gear during the movement of the first contact piece in the first movement range.

A self-blowout circuit breaker is disclosed which includes contacts for connecting or disconnecting a circuit, a heating volume, a compression volume and an exhaust volume. The compression volume can be connected to the heating volume by at least one first valve, which heating volume is in turn connected to an arc zone. Upon the disconnection of the circuit, while a first arcing contact is being disconnected from an associated second arcing contact, an arc is produced between the two arcing contacts in the arc zone. The compression volume is separated from the exhaust volume by a combined filling and overpressure valve which is formed as at least one plate, and has at least one tab which is formed in the plate.

A high-voltage switch contains two contact members, which can be moved relative to one another along an axis, a nozzle for blowing out a switching arc with quenching gas, and a stationary direction-changing transmission, which is connected to the nozzle and to the second contact member. The nozzle has a hollow insulating body, and a metallic annular body which is arranged at a blowing-out end of the nozzle, is connected in a formfitting manner to the insulating body, and supports an input or output drive element of the direction-changing transmission. This switch can be manufactured easily and at low cost, and provides good mechanical and electrical characteristics. The annular body has a concentrically arranged intermediate ring, which causes the form fit with the insulating body, and a ring, which is pushed onto the intermediate ring and is attached to the intermediate ring, for supporting the input-drive or output-drive element.

The disclosure relates to an electrical breaker device with double movement of its contact systems. An auxiliary gear is designed for driving the second contact systems such that the holding means for holding the rack and pinion gear and the guiding means for slide guiding and slide contacting the auxiliary-gear-driven arcing contact piece are constructed integrally in a monoblock. Embodiments, among others, relate to: a pusher guide slide bearing recessed in the arcing contact piece that is driven by the auxiliary gear; a minimal configuration of the toothed rack drive with only one cogwheel; and a limit stop for defining an end position for the auxiliary-gear-driven arcing contact piece. Advantages, among others, are: auxiliary gear with reduced number of parts, and simplified mounting and adjustment.

An electrical circuit breaker includes a first contact piece with a first consumable contact; a second contact piece with a second consumable contact; a drive for moving the first contact piece along a switching movement axis; and a transmission for transmitting the movement of the first contact piece to a movement of the second contact piece. The transmission has a first lever, a pivoting element which can pivot about a pivoting shaft, and a transmission mechanism for transmitting a pivoting movement of the pivoting element to a movement of the second contact piece.

Transmission for an electrical circuit breaker

The switching chamber is intended for a gas-insulated high-voltage switch. It contains a housing filled with insulating gas and a contact arrangement held in the housing. The contact arrangement has, in a coaxial arrangement, the following components: two switching pieces, which are capable of being moved relative to one another along an axis, with in each case one arcing contact and in each case one tubular conductor containing a rated current contact, an insulating nozzle, and a compression apparatus with a fixed piston and a cylinder. A moveable tubular conductor of the two tubular conductors forms the wall of the cylinder, is electrically conductively and rigidly connected to one of the two arcing contacts via a base of the cylinder and bears the insulating nozzle.

Switching chamber for a gas-insulated high-voltage switch

An electrical switching apparatus is disclosed with a moveable insulating nozzle for blowing an arc. According to the invention, the insulating nozzle is connected in an interlocking and force-fitting manner to at least one moveable component part of the switching apparatus by means of a clamping device and without a screw connection. Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: a clamping hold of the insulating nozzle on the moving buffer cylinder and/or at the opposite end on a part to be moved, in particular a moveable shielding electrode or an auxiliary gear mechanism for a contact system, which is driven on both sides. Advantages include: simple fitting of the insulating nozzle, small physical volume of the clamping device; precise coaxial fixing of the insulating nozzle in relation to the switch axis.

Nozzle fastening for electrical switching apparatus

The switching chamber for a heavy-duty circuit breaker has a first arcing contact piece, a second arcing contact piece, a heating chamber, and an insulating nozzle. The first or second arcing contact piece can be moved by means of a drive. The heating chamber is used for temporarily storing quenching gas heated by an arc that may burn between the contact pieces. An insulating nozzle has a throat that is connected to the heating chamber, and which is used for guiding a quenching gas flow. During an opening operation, the two arcing contact pieces reach a maximum relative speed that is at least 1.3 times as great as a relative speed of the two arcing contact pieces. The relative speed being required for capacitive switching.

The shaft includes two electrically conducting connecting pieces (), which can be connected to different electric potentials, and also an insulating tube (), which can be subjected to torsional loading. The two connecting pieces () are respectively fastened to one of the two ends of the insulating tube (). In order that the shaft can also transmit great torques, the following means are provided for fastening at least one of the two connecting pieces (): An adhesive joint (), which is formed by a cone () formed into one end of the insulating tube () and made to run from the circumferential surface () to the inner surface () of the insulating tube () and also by a mating cone () formed into the at least one connecting piece (), and by a gap () formed by the cone () and mating cone () and filled with adhesive. Alternatively, the fastening means may also include an embedding, which has a portion of the at least one connecting piece, made to extend in the direction of the axis of the insulating tube, as the part to be embedded, and the end portion of the insulating tube produced by a casting process, as the embedding body.

Shaft, method for producing it and device for carrying out the method

The heavy-duty circuit breaker contains a first moveable arcing contact piece and a second moveable arcing contact piece as well as an auxiliary drive for driving the second arcing contact piece. An arc may burn between the arcing contact pieces. The heavy-duty circuit breaker has a heating chamber for temporarily storing quenching gas heated by the arc and a throat for guiding a quenching gas flow, which throat is connected to the heating chamber by a channel. The throat can be blocked by one of the two arcing contact pieces, which is the blocking contact piece. The auxiliary drive is designed such that, during an opening operation, a movement direction reversal of the second arcing contact piece from a movement in opposite directions to a movement in the same direction of the two arcing contact pieces takes place, if the throat is no longer blocked by the blocking contact piece.

The switching device for switching high electrical currents and voltages has at least one switch pole () which is operated by means of a rotatable shaft (). Furthermore, the switching device has at least one lever system (), a first switching linkage () and at least one drive () with a drive rod (), with the rotatable shaft () being connected to the lever system (), the lever system () being connected to the first switching linkage (), and the first switching linkage () being operatively connected to the drive rod (). Movements of the drive rod () are converted to rotary movements of the rotatable shaft (). The physical space which is required for installation of the switching device is intended to be capable of being matched to the physical circumstances. This is achieved in that a transmission () which is connected to the first switching linkage () and a second switching linkage () which is connected to the transmission () and to the drive rod () are provided. This arrangement makes it possible to arrange the drive () such that physical circumstances, for example existing concrete edges, can remain, and the physical space which is required by the switching device can be minimized.

Switching device

The power breaker is provided with at least one arcing chamber ( ) which is filled with SF gas, is rotationally symmetrical, and extends along a longitudinal axis ( ). The arcing chamber ( ) has a power current path with a central contact pin ( ), and has a separate rated current path provided with rated current contacts ( ). The arcing chamber ( ) is operated by a drive linkage ( ) which moves the contact pin ( ) and the rated current contacts ( ). The drive linkage ( ) is designed such that, at the start of the disconnection process, the contact pin ( ) remains in a first dead point position until the rated current path is interrupted. The contact pin ( ) can then be moved in the disconnection direction at a considerably higher speed than the rated current contacts ( ). Toward the end of their disconnection travel, the rated current contacts ( ) run into a second dead point position. The contact pin ( ) does not reach its disconnected position until after the rated current contacts ( ) have ended their disconnection movement. At the start of the connection process, the rated current contacts ( ) remain in this second dead point position until the pre-arcing of the switch-on arc has taken place. The rated current contacts ( ) are in this way advantageously protected against damage caused by an arc.
