A nestable hanger including: a support means for supportably hanging the hanger on a display; a body supported by the support means and having two pinch grips disposed thereon for retaining a garment therein; where the hanger nests in a stack of similar hangers such that the hanger interlocks with the stack of similar hangers. The hanger can be in a plane substantially parallel with a plane of the stack of similar hangers, or alternatively, in substantially a same plane as the stack of similar hangers.

Nestable pinch-grip hangers

An improved pinch grip pant and skirt hanger of reduced depth is formed with an offset between the hanger bar and the mounting of the pinch grip to align the center axis of the hanger bar with the center of the pinch grip, to thereby reduce the depth of the hanger and pinch grip and provide greater density of garments during shipment. Two separate guards are provided to prevent inadvertent opening of the pinch grip by an adjacent hanger, including a moveable guard, formed by arches on the fixed and moveable jaws. Since the arches are formed to contact below the pivot axis of the pinch grip, any contact between hangers will serve to enhance grip, rather than inadvertently opening the pinch grip. The hanger is particularly adapted for magazine feed and the automated loading of garments.

A hanger including; a hook; a support bar suspended from the hook, the support bar having an engagement surface; means for suspending a garment from the support bar; and an auxiliary bar having at least one clip portion having at least one clip for engaging the engagement surface of the hanger and a bottom rail supported from the clip over which a portion of the garment is draped.

An improved pinch grip pant and skirt hanger of reduced depth and elongated grip is formed for gripping garments below the waistband. The pinch grip has an offset between the hanger bar and the mounting of the pinch grip to align the center axis of the hanger bar with the center of the pinch grip, to thereby reduce the depth of the hanger and pinch grip and provide greater density of garments during shipment. Since the arches are formed to contact below the pivot axis of the pinch grip, any contact between hangers will serve to enhance grip, rather than inadvertently opening the pinch grip. A garment set hanger is disclosed which is suitable for hanging and displaying a set of matched or coordinated garments together, such as a matched set of children's garments. The garment set hanger includes a top hanger which is designed to support a top garment such as a dress or a shirt of the matched set of garments. A flexible bottom hanger of the garment set hanger is designed to support and display a matching bottom garment of the matched set of garments, such as underwear designed to be worn as a matched set with the dress, or matching pants designed to be worn as a matched set with a top sports or T shirt. The flexible bottom hanger is designed to be flexed inwardly to allow the bottom garment to be easily placed on and mounted onto the flexed bottom hanger, such as by an elastic waist band, and then the flexed bottom hanger is allowed to expand outwardly to conform to different size bottom garments.

Garment set hanger

A coordinate loop garment hanger comprising a molded plastic hanger body having a hook receiving loop element depending from and molded integrally with the molded plastic body at a lower portion thereof. The hook receiving loop element includes a passageway for selectively receiving and suspending therefrom a hook of a second ganged garment hanger which is at least partially enclosed along its length by left, right, top and bottom surfaces. In one embodiment, the left, right, top and bottom surfaces define substantially parallel left and right sides and rounded and curved top and bottom surfaces. The passageway is also curved along its length, with the open ends thereof being slightly lower than the center thereof. Several different embodiments of the loop element are disclosed with different length and shape sides, bottoms and ends. Several different embodiments are also disclosed of the cross sectional shape of the passageway defined by the loop element, including downward tapering, upward tapering, circular and hourglass shaped passageways. A mold and a method are also disclosed for molding the coordinate loop garment hanger body. The mold comprises first and second mold halves and a moveable mold piece which is pivotally inserted into the mold shape of the loop element during a molding operation to define and mold the interior shape of the passageway.

A size indicator to be removably secured to a web of a hanger. The size indicator including: a face and two sides depending from the face to define a channel, each of the sides terminating in a foremost edge; an inwardly facing ridge disposed at each of the foremost edges and projecting inwards towards the; and at least one of: (a) a pair of spaced projections disposed on the face and configured to receive an outermost portion of the web therebetween; (b) an engagement abutment disposed on each of the sides and between the face and foremost edge; and (c) a trough disposed on the face and substantially configured to receive an outermost portion of the web, wherein at least one of the face or sides has an extended exterior planar wall to maximize a print zone thereon.

Removable size indicator for a garment hanger

A molded plastic garment hanger constituted from first and second plastic materials which are fused and mechanically bonded to form a composite garment hanger. A coinjected plastic member formed of the second plastic material is molded into the plastic body member formed of the first plastic material, and is secured thereto by a plume of the second plastic material of the coinjected plastic member which is formed as the second plastic material is coinjected and breaches the surface of the first plastic material of the molded plastic body member which is not completely set and hardened, such that the plume of the second plastic material extends into and is secured and anchored into the first plastic material. A method and apparatus for co-injection molding of plastic materials for the formation of the plastic garment hanger construction are also disclosed.

A method for removing a releasable size indicator from a garment hanger. The garment hanger including: a body having at least one web for removably securing a size indicator to the body, the web having a fixed latch and a pivoting latch; and a size indicator having finger means for engaging the fixed and pivoting latches. The method including: (a) feeding the garment hanger to an indicator removal station; (b) supporting the garment hanger at the indicator removal station for removal of the size indicator; (c) depressing the pivoting latch to pivot the same out of engagement with the finger means to release the size indicator from the web; (d) collecting the released size indicator; (e) removing the garment hanger from the indicator removal station; and (f) repeating steps (a) to (e) for each of a plurality of hangers sequentially fed to the indicator removal station.

Automated methods and devices for removing a size indicator from a garment hanger having a removable size indicator

A garment hanger which is suitable for packaging and merchandising intimate apparel such as ladies panties. The garment hanger is formed as one integrally molded plastic piece which includes a main body about which the apparel is folded by a pair of foldable arms which extend from opposite sides of the main body. The apparel is initially secured to the garment hanger by resilient retainer clips formed on the distal ends of the foldable arms which are initially outstretched, and then the apparel and the arms are simultaneously folded about the main body of the garment hanger. The garment hanger also includes locking tabs formed on the main body of the garment hanger which engage the folded arms, and function to retain the folded garment and arms in a folded shape which is suitable for retail display and merchandising of the apparel. A preferred embodiment includes a first pair of upper foldable arms extending from the upper corners of the main body of the garment hanger, and a second pair of foldable arms extending from the lower corners of the main body, such that first and second articles of intimate apparel can be mounted on and folded about the main body in upper and lower display positions on the garment hanger.

The garment hanger including: a hook for suspending the hanger from a support and a horizontal bar connected to the hook; a clip portion having at least one double action clip disposed at each of first and second ends of the horizontal bar; the hanger having at least one web for removably securing a size indicator to the hanger, the web having a fixed latch and a pivoting latch; and a size indicator having finger means for engaging the fixed and pivoting latches such that the size indicator is secured on the web during normal use, but wherein the size indicator may be released from the fixed latch when the pivoting latch is pivoted out of engagement with the finger means of the size indicator.
