A method for producing a component from a fiber-composite material, wherein a plurality of fiber-tape pieces, which each comprise a thermoplastic fiber-tape piece matrix with fiber-tape-piece fibers embedded therein, are provided, the fiber-tape pieces are picked up in the solid state and arranged so as to form a fiber-tape pattern, a backing layer, which comprises a thermoplastic backing-layer matrix with backing-layer fibers embedded therein, is provided and heated such that the backing-layer matrix softens or melts, a preform is formed from the backing layer and the fiber-tape pattern in that the fiber-tape pattern is applied in the solid state to the heated backing layer and is heated thereby so that the fiber-tape-piece matrices soften or melt such that the preform is in a deformable state in which both the backing-layer matrix and the fiber-tape-piece matrices have been softened or melted, the preform in the deformable state is deformed.

Method for producing a component from a fiber-composite material

A gear arrangement is provided with a built-up for a shaft or pinion to rotate in unison therewith. The gear includes a gear rim and two flanges arranged axially on both sides and fixed them against the gear rim in a positive-locking connection. A hub, over which the respective other parts of the gear are pushed, is formed on at least one of the parts of the gear. The parts of the gear are held together without the use of rivets or screws by a clamped connection including a clamping ring, which is caused to mesh with a groove extending circumferentially on the circumference of the hub or shaft. The clamped connection presses the respective flange outer surface in a spring-mounted manner. Mutually corresponding elevations and depressions on the axial outer surfaces of the gear rim as well as on the axially inner surfaces of the flanges mesh with one another.

Gear arrangement

A spiral-toothed gear wheel for a rack and pinion steering. The spiral-toothed gear wheel includes a pinion, which meshes on the power take-off side with a toothed rack, and a spiral-toothed gear, which is arranged on the pinion on the drive side in such a way that they rotate in unison, and on which a torque caused by a steering power or/and steering assist power acts. The spiral-toothed gear is designed as a built-up gear and includes a gear rim, which is arranged, relative to the axial direction of the gear or of the pinion thereof, between two flanges. The gear rim is pushed over a hub formed at one of the flanges and is fitted together with the flanges in a positive-locking manner. One of the flanges, namely, the flange having the hub for the gear rim, is made in one piece with the pinion.

Spiral-toothed gear wheel for rack and pinion steering

In a power-assisted steering system or power steering system having an electric motor, which drives a worm gear mechanism that has a composite gear wheel in the form of a worm wheel, the worm wheel includes a ring gear connectible to a hub via a first disk, and an annular projection of the first disk axially engages with the ring gear. In order to improve the centering of the component parts of the composite gear wheel in the tangential direction, and in order to render the power transmission in the gear wheel uniform, the annular projection on the first disk is provided with one or more depressions in the axial direction to form tooth-like projections, which form a drive-type toothed section and engage with depressions on an axial side face of the ring gear.
