A pendulum weight for a centrifugal pendulum absorber for a flywheel of a vehicle includes a bearing surface that, when the pendulum weight is mounted radially outside of a central axis of the pendulum absorber, cooperates with a corresponding bearing surface provided on a separate part of the pendulum absorber, with respect to which separate part the pendulum weight is thereby configured to be movable along a predetermined pendulum path. The pendulum weight further includes a pocket formed in connection with the bearing surface, the pocket being configured to receive at least a portion of the separate part when the pendulum weight moves along the pendulum path. The invention relates to a torsional damper () in a clutch disc arrangement () arranged to indicate damping performance of the torsional damper (). The torsional damper () comprises a driven plate (), an output hub (), intermediate friction plates () arranged on either side of the driven plate () and a resilient member () arranged to press the intermediate friction plates () against the driven plate () or against the output hub () with a pressure force. The intermediate friction plates () and the resilient member () are rotationally fixed to the output hub () or the driven plate () forming a rotationally fixed stack (). The rotationally fixed stack () comprises a detection friction plate () rotatably decoupled from the rotationally fixed stack () and arranged in the rotationally fixed stack ().

A method and device for operating a powertrain of a motor vehicle are provided, wherein the powertrain includes an internal combustion engine, a transmission and a friction clutch arranged there between in order to control a power flow between the internal combustion engine and the transmission. The method includes the steps of detecting clutch judder, analyzing clutch judder, and determining a type of clutch judder. Based on determined type of clutch judder the method further includes selecting a udder countermeasure from a number of predetermined judder countermeasures and executing selected judder countermeasure. Detected clutch judder can be taken care of in an efficient way and future clutch judder may be prevented.

A torsional vibration damper hub for a vehicle clutch includes a first row of springs extending substantially in the clutch rotating direction and disposed in openings formed in a first inner annular plate and a first pair of outer annular plates; a second row of springs extending substantially in the clutch rotating direction and is disposed in openings formed in the second inner annular plate and the second pair of outer annular plates; the first and second row of the springs being arranged on a same radius from a center of rotation of the clutch; the springs in the first row of springs arranged in one first axial level are axially overlapping the springs in the second row of springs arranged in a second axial level with the purpose to decrease a total axial length of the clutch. In an alternative embodiment the damper hub is substantially identical to a dual damper hub in conventional twin-plate clutches.
