According to one aspect, there is provided an inductor core including: an axially extending core member, an axially extending external member at least partly surrounding the core member, thereby forming a space around the core member for accommodating a winding between the core member and the external member, a plate member presenting a radial extension and being provided with a through-hole, wherein the core member is arranged to extend into the through-hole, wherein the plate member is a separate member from the core member and the external member and is adapted to be assembled with the core member and the external member, wherein a magnetic flux path is formed which extends through the core member, the plate member and the external member.

Inductor core

The invention concerns powder compositions consisting of electrically insulated particles of a soft magnetic material of an iron or iron-based powder and 0.1-2% by weight of a lubricant selected from the group consisting of fatty acid amides having 14-22 C atoms. Composition for producing soft magnetic composites by powder metallurgy

The present invention concerns a high purity, annealed iron powder suitable for the preparation of soft magnetic composites. The powder is distinguished in that the content of inevitable impurities is less than 0.30% by weight, the oxygen content is less than 0.05% by weight, and the specific surface area as measured by the BET method is less than 60 m/kg.

Iron based soft magnetic powder having an insulating coating

The present invention concerns a new ferromagnetic powder composition comprising soft magnetic iron-based core particles wherein the surface of the core particles are surrounded by an insulating inorganic coating, and a lubricating amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of silanes, titanates, aluminates, zirconates, or mixtures thereof. The invention also concerns a process for the preparation of soft magnetic composite materials using the new powder composition.

The invention concerns a method of preparing high density compacts for soft magnetic applications comprising the steps of subjecting an iron or iron-based soft magnetic powder the particles of which are electrically insulated to compaction in an uniaxial pressure operation with a ram speed of at least 2 m/s.
