This invention relates system for classifying a modulation format of a communication signal. The system includes a receiving antenna system, to receive the communication signal, a preprocessing module, to evaluate a Fourier transform of a plurality of samples of the received communication signal, normalize each discrete sample of the Fourier transform, quantize each normalized sample based on a number of quantization levels (Q), a graphical analyzer to construct a undirected graph by tracing amplitude of the each quantized sample; and a classification module to extract one or more modulation classification (MC) features from the undirected graph; and to determine the modulation format of the received communication signal based on the extracted MC features.

System and method for modulation classification using signal graphs

A method for identifying cellular networks using a computer processor and a signal receiver including determining whether a cellular network being used is either an LTE-DL, LTE-UL, GSM, CDMA2000 or UMTS network. The determination is made on the basis of individual tests eliminating one network at a time based on unique characteristics of each particular network.

A method for long-term evolution (LTE) synchronization by a signal receiver in the presence of interference signals including providing multiple parallel adaptive filters to eliminate the contribution of an interference signal to a timing metric of an LTE signal; wherein coefficients of each of the parallel adaptive filters are determined using a linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) criterion to minimize output power of each filter subject to the LCMV criterion that preserves received signal vectors corresponding to all possible primary synchronization signal signatures; and wherein the LCMV criterion are updated iteratively using a recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm.

System and method for providing adaptive synchronization of LTE communication systems

A wideband signal processing receiver system including an interface for connecting to an analog to digital converter (ADC) of a broader signal chain lineup, wherein the interface receives digital data from the ADC, and a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and associated configuration for converting the digital data into two digital signal paths. The two digital signal paths include a frequency domain path and an optionally decimated time domain path. A memory and/or high speed bus stores or transfers high speed bus/link data from the frequency domain path and the time domain path.

In some examples, the first responsibility indicates a responsibility attributed to the second node to be the clusterhead for the first node. In some examples, the first node is effective to receive a second responsibility and availability; the second responsibility indicating a responsibility attributed to the first node to be the clusterhead for a second node; the second availability indicating an availability of the second node to be the clusterhead for the first node. In some examples, the first node is effective to determine the clusterhead based on the first and second responsibility and the first and second availability.

A method for pre-processing a signal prior to classification, where the signal includes non-contiguous segments; the method includes applying a coarse carrier frequency offset correction, applying a phase correction, applying a residual course frequency offset correction, and outputting a simulated continuous signal consisting of recorded continuous signal segments and modeled non-contiguous segments. A system for implementing the method is also disclosed.
