A semiconductor light emitting device includes a substrate, a common conductive portion formed on the substrate, a semiconductor light emitting element mounted on the common conductive portion, and an electronic component mounted on the common conductive portion and electrically connected to the semiconductor light emitting element by the common conductive portion. This structure shortens the conductive path between the semiconductor light emitting element and the electronic component, thereby reducing capacitance caused by the conductive path between the semiconductor light emitting element and the electronic component. Thus, while reducing parasitic capacitance, the semiconductor light emitting element and the electronic component are electrically connected.

Semiconductor light emitting device

A semiconductor light-emitting device includes: a board including a front surface, a back surface facing an opposite side of the front surface, a first wiring pattern formed on the front surface, and a second wiring pattern formed on the side of the back surface with respect to the first wiring pattern; and a light-emitting element, a switching element, and a capacitor, which are electrically connected to one another by both the first wiring pattern and the second wiring pattern. Among the light-emitting element, the switching element, and the capacitor, a first predetermined element and a second predetermined element are arranged in a first direction and the second predetermined element and a third predetermined element are arranged in a second direction. The second wiring pattern forms a second current path opposite to a direction of a first current path. The second current path overlaps the first current path.

A light emitting and receiving device includes: a light emitting element, a first light receiving element, and a second light receiving element. A reference signal generator generates a reference signal including a component of a predetermined reference frequency. A drive circuit supplies a drive signal to the light emitting element so that a feedback signal corresponding to an output of the first light receiving element matches a reference signal. A correlation detector detects an output of the second light receiving element by correlating with the component of the reference frequency.

An optical apparatus includes a substrate, a wiring patternformed on the substrate, a light-receiving elementand a light-emitting elementprovided on the substrateand spaced apart from each other in a direction x, a light-transmitting resincovering the light-receiving element, a light-transmitting resincovering the light-emitting element, and a light-shielding resincovering the light-transmitting resinand the light-transmitting resin. The wiring patternincludes a first light-blocking portioninterposed between the light-shielding resinand the substrateand positioned between the light-receiving elementand the light-emitting elementas viewed in x-y plane. The first light-blocking portionextends across the light-emitting elementas viewed in the direction x.

Optical apparatus

A linear light source device illuminates a document properly, and an image reading device includes such a light source device. The light source device includes a light source and a light-guiding member. The light-guiding member introduces the light emitted from the light source from one end portion in x-direction, cause the light to travel in x-direction, and emits the light from a light exit portion at one end in z-direction, which is orthogonal to x-direction. The light-guiding member includes, at the other end in z-direction, a light-reflecting portion that reflects light to the light exit portion. One end face of the light-guiding member in y-direction, which is orthogonal to x- and z-directions, is inclined so as to become closer to the other end face in y-direction with decreasing distance from the light exit portion in z-direction. This allows light to easily travel to the light-reflecting portion.
