An energy treatment tool includes: a blade configured to transmit ultrasound vibration, an arm movable relative to the blade between an open position and a closed position, the arm including a surface on a blade-side of the arm, a pad provided on the surface, the pad including a first side and a second side opposite to the first side in a width direction of the arm, a first pin connected to the arm and extending along the width direction, a first electrode facing the first side of the pad and rotatable relative to the pad around the first pin, a second electrode facing the second side of the pad.

Energy treatment tool

The procedure instrument includes an end effector for treating biological tissue by grasping biological tissue by opening and closing and imparting treatment energy to biological tissue, a fixed handle grasped by an operator, a movable handle for opening and closing the end effector by moving in a direction close to and away from the fixed handle, respectively, and a first switch provided inside the fixed handle and receiving a user operation for imparting treatment energy to the biological tissue from the end effector in response to the movement of the movable handle, and a second switch provided in a state of being exposed outside the fixed handle and receiving a user operation in response to the movement of the movable handle.

Treatment instrument, treatment system, and control method

A treatment tool includes: a sheath; a treatment portion that is capable of treating a living tissue and is provided at a distal end of the sheath; a first driver and a second driver that are inserted in the sheath and are capable of driving the treatment portion; and a holder that is inserted in the sheath, and holds the first driver and the second driver. The holder includes a groove in which the first and second driver are inserted, and an intervening portion provided in the groove and arranged between the first driver and the second driver in a cross section perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the groove that extends from a distal end to a proximal end of the holder.

Treatment tool, method of manufacturing treatment tool, and method of reprocessing treatment tool

An ischemia control device is connected to a control unit that receives inputs from sensors and other surgical devices that senses patient conditions. The control unit uses the data inputs, as well as direct inputs from the medical operators, to output opening and closing instructions to the ischemia control device. The actuator on the ischemia control device receives the opening and closing instructions and manipulates the ischemia control device. The ischemia control device can be automatically operated using the sensed information to intermittently and alternately achieve ischemia of the organs and reperfuse the organs and, thereby, protect the organs from being damaged by the ischemia.

Ischemia control device

The disclosed technology is directed to a surgical instrument comprises a sheath having respective opposed proximal and distal ends. A pair of grasps is disposed on the distal-end portion of the sheath gripping a treatment target therebetween. A drive shaft is coupled to at least one of the pair of grasps to open or to close the pair of grasps by being moved along the longitudinal axis with respect to the sheath. Electric elements are used to apply treatment energy to the treatment target. A first operating device supplies the electric energy to the electric elements in a first supply state. A first member produces a force to open or close the pair of grasps and applies the force to the drive shaft. A second member is disposed in line with the first member and applies a force to the drive shaft in response to the operation input.

Surgical instrument

A treatment instrument includes a rotating body and a housing. The rotating body includes a connecting portion including: a supported portion having a cylindrical outer peripheral surface, and an engaged portion that is adjacent to the supported surface. The housing includes a supporting portion that is configured to support the supported portion of the rotating body, the supporting portion being rotatable around a predetermined rotation axis; and an engaging portion that is configured to generate a frictional force larger than a frictional force between the supporting portion and the supported portion by coming into contact with the engaged portion.

Treatment instrument

A surgical treatment instrument includes an elongated member an end effector that is bendable with respect to the elongated member, a bending operator operable to bend the end effector, a rotor rotatable about a rotation axis in response to operation of the bending operator, and a transmitter that transmits a driving force to bend the end effector. The bending operator, the rotor, and the transmitter are rotatable about the longitudinal axis together with the elongated member and the end effector.

Surgical treatment instrument

The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment instrument comprises an end effector having a pair of clamping members configured to pivot with respect to one another. A sheath is attached to the end effector along a longitudinal axis so that the end effector can be bent or curved. A drive shaft is connected to the end effector so as to guide the end effector to open or close the pair of clamping members relative to one another when moved in a longitudinal direction relative to the sheath. An elongated member is connected to the end effector and is configured to make the end effector bend or curve with respect to the sheath when moved in the longitudinal direction relative to the sheath. First and second members are configured to produce first and second forces sufficient to open or close the pair of clamping members.

A control device for use with a treatment tool that includes a heating element to apply heat to a treatment target. The control device comprises a processor configured to set a target temperature for the heating element and to control the heating element so that temperature of the heating element follows the target temperature. The processor is configured to switch the control of the heating element from a first phase to a second phase. A first followability of the temperature of the heating element in the first phase is higher than a second followability of the temperature in the second phase. The processor is configured to terminate the controlling of following the temperature of the heating element to the target temperature when a parameter is beyond a predetermined range wherein the parameter being defined as a fluctuation between the temperature of the heating element and the target temperature.

Control device

A treatment tool includes a housing, a sheath rotatable around a predetermined axis of rotation with respect to the housing. An end effector is disposed on a distal-end portion of the sheath and rotatable in unison with the sheath around the axis of rotation. A locking member for restraining rotation of the sheath with respect to the housing by engaging the sheath. A manipulating member is mounted on the housing and moves with respect to the housing for causing the locking member and the sheath to switch between engaging and disengaging positions.

Treatment tool

A surgical treatment instrument includes a holdable housing, a shaft, an end effector configured to perform a bending movement with respect to the shaft, a rotor configured to rotate about a rotation axis in response to an operation input performed through an operation member, and a transmission member configured to transmit a driving force for causing the end effector to perform the bending movement to the end effector. The operation member and the transmission member are configured to rotate together with the shaft and the end effector in response to the operation input, and the rotor is configured to not rotate together with the shaft and the end effector when the operation input is performed.

A treatment instrument includes a sheath having a longitudinal axis, an end effector provided on one end of the sheath, a housing to which the other end of the sheath is connected, and an operation dial provided to be rotatable relative to the housing around a first rotational axis. The operation dial includes a first outer peripheral surface provided around the first rotational axis, and a second outer peripheral surface spaced apart from the first outer peripheral surface in a direction along the first rotational axis and provided around the first rotational axis.

In a treatment instrument, one of a pair of jaws is supported by a supporter while being pivot able around the supporter with respect to the supporter. A drive member moves along a longitudinal axis so that the pair of the jaws are closed with respect to each other, thereby applying an axial force onto an elongated member from the drive member by way of the one of the jaws and the supporter in a direction along the longitudinal axis. A contact surface of the elongated member abuts on a housing when the elongated member moves with respect to the housing under the axial force, thereby suppressing rotation of the elongated member around the longitudinal axis with respect to the housing.

A medical treatment implement including: a shaft extending along a longitudinal axis; a housing having distal and proximal portions, a proximal end of the shaft being attached to the distal portion of the housing to extend from the distal to the proximal portion, the elongated shaft being rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the housing; an effector attached to a distal end of the shaft, the effector articulating relative to the longitudinal axis; a drive mechanism having an output connected to the effector to articulate the effector relative to the shaft; and an input unit attached to the housing at a position closer to the proximal portion than the distal portion, wherein the input unit receives an operation input and directly inputs the drive mechanism in response to the input, wherein the input unit rotates about the longitudinal axis together with the shaft relative to the housing.
