The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a radar control device and method. Specifically, a radar control device according to the present disclosure may include a receiver for receiving vehicle driving information for a host vehicle from a radar, an APS determiner for determining an angular power spectrum (APS) for a predetermined frequency based on the vehicle driving information if an object is detected in the vehicle driving information, and an object determiner for determining a position of a measurement value based on the determined APS, and determine whether there are a plurality of objects based on the position of the measurement value.

According to the disclosure, an object size estimation device comprises a reception unit receiving a reception signal reflected by the object, through the reception antenna, an object length calculation unit calculating a reflection point based on a position frequency of measurements included in the reception signal, calculating a horizontal length of the object based on a distance between a first straight line passing through the calculated reflection point and a measurement and calculating a vertical length of the object based on a distance between a second straight line orthogonal to the first straight line and a measurement, and an object size estimation unit estimating a size of the object formed with the horizontal length and the vertical length.

An apparatus for detecting a target is disclosed. The apparatus of detecting a target includes: a frequency mixer configured to calculate a first beat frequency based on a transmitted signal and a received signal of first scanning and calculate a second beat frequency based on a transmitted signal and a received signal of second scanning performed with a predetermined time interval from the first scanning; a controller configured to extract a first moving component by comparing an up-chirp period frequency and a down-chirp period frequency of at least one of the first beat frequency or the second beat frequency; extract a second moving component by comparing up-chirp period frequencies or down-chirp period frequencies of the first beat frequency and the second beat frequency; and determine the moving target based on the first moving component and the second moving component.
