The input receiver receives an input, e.g., a user input. The controller displays a user interface (UI) including a plurality of menu items on the display, performs a function corresponding to a menu item selected based on the input from among the plurality of menu items, determines whether the function has been used based on a type of the function performed, and changes a configuration of the plurality of menu items based on the determination. With this, the display apparatus may provide menu items corresponding to frequently or more used functions to allow a user to easily access thereto, thereby improving user convenience.
