A refrigerator includes a main body having a storage chamber, a door provided to the main body, including an outer door and a door liner. The door liner includes support steps, a liner plate, and a seating step that define an installation space. An ice maker is located at least partially in the installation space. A cold air duct is provided in one side of the storage chamber to supply the ice maker with cold air. An ice maker cover is provided having a cold air inlet on a top portion thereof and a viewing window on a lower portion thereof. The viewing window allows the ice maker to be seen from outside of the ice maker cover. An ice bank is removably located below the ice maker to transfer ice received from the ice maker to a dispenser.

A water-filter mounting structure for a refrigerator has a filter receiving section provided below a dispenser that is mounted at a door for selectively opening and closing a storage space and discharges water or ice to the outside. The present invention relates to a refrigerator having a dispenser. In the present invention, the dispenser is provided in a concave portion of a door to be exposed toward a front surface of the door. A water tank is installed between a rear surface of the dispenser and a door liner defining a rear surface of the door. The water tank stores the water delivered from an external water supply source while the water in maintained at a relatively low temperature and then discharges the water to the outside through the dispenser. Furthermore, in the present invention, a nozzle, through which the water is discharged from the water tank, is directly connected to a drainpipe of the dispenser, so that users may always take out the water maintained at a constant temperature.

A dispenser of a conventional refrigerator supplies only cold water. Therefore, the dispenser cannot meet a variety of users' needs. The refrigerator of the present invention comprises a feed tube for guiding water, which is supplied from an external water source to the main body of the refrigerator, to the door; a valve for distributing the water supplied from the feed tube into a plurality of connection tubes; a cooling tank installed within the door for cooling the water supplied through the valve and then storing the cooled water therein; a heater installed within the door for receiving the water supplied through the valve separately from the cooling tank and then heating the received water; and a dispenser for dispensing the hot and cold water supplied from the heater and cooling tank to the outside of the refrigerator through a front surface of the door. The refrigerator further comprises a filter for filtering the water, and the filter is provided at one of the feed tube and connection tubes for supplying the water toward the heater and detachably installed in the storage space defined in the main body of the refrigerator.
