A suspended transmission line with an embedded amplifier includes a support layer and a conductor supported on the support layer between first and second plates each having a ground plane. The conductor includes an input section and an output section. A propagation structure is disposed between the first and second plates to substantially encompass an electric field generated by a signal transmitted on the conductor. An amplifier is coupled to the input and output sections of the conductor and is at least substantially disposed between the first and second plates. The amplifier operates to amplify an input signal received on the input section to generate an output signal on the output section.

Suspended transmission line with embedded amplifier

A cross slot broad band antenna comprises a five layer configuration including a radiating element cross slot layer having a plurality of radiating slots. Positioned adjacent one side of the radiating element layer is a first spacer layer configured to define a cavity. An S-line feed layer having feeds equal in number to the plurality of radiating slots is positioned adjacent to the first spacer layer. A second spacer layer is positioned adjacent the S-line feed layer and is configured to define a cavity. The fifth layer, a ground plane layer, has a copper clad surface and is positioned adjacent the second spacer layer.

Cross slot antenna

An odd order MESFET frequency multiplier which outputs a desired odd harmonic of a fundamental tone. The frequency multiplier includes a multiplier stage with a MESFET having a harmonic response dependent upon a plurality of bias conditions and the input RF power level. The MESFET includes a drain port coupled to an output matching network sized and configured for a predetermined load at a selected output frequency. The output matching network includes RF shorts for reflecting energy to the MESFET from a plurality of undesired even harmonics. Coupled to the output matching circuit is a bandpass filter sized and configured for the predetermined load. The bandpass filter includes RF shorts for reflecting energy to the MESFET from a plurality of undesired odd harmonics, wherein the reflected energy from the undesired even harmonics and the undesired odd harmonics are combined at the MESFET to provide additional energy at the desired odd harmonic.
