In an aspect, an integrated tamper resistant device generates initial network credentials for accessing a network, wherein the initial network credentials enable the integrated tamper resistant device to be authenticated by a network solution provider before operational network credentials are provided securely by the network solution provider. The integrated tamper resistant device encrypts the initial network credentials and cryptographically signs the encrypted initial network credentials. The integrated tamper resistant device outputs the encrypted and signed initial network credentials for delivery to the network solution provider.

Generation of initial network credentials in an integrated tamper resistant device

Aspects may relate to a device to provide a spoofing or no spoofing indication. The device may comprise a processor and a sensor. The sensor may receive multiple facial frames of a face of a user. The processor coupled to the sensor may be configured to: perform a function based upon components of the face of the user relative to one another to determine measured facial features for two adjacent frames of the multiple facial frames; and determine whether the measured facial features for the two adjacent frames are sufficiently different to indicate liveness of the user and no spoofing attempt.

Device to provide a spoofing or no spoofing indication

According to discontinuous reception (DRX), data communication by a communication device occurs at periodic intervals. Between those periodic intervals, the communication device may enter a low-power state. Due to this periodic communication of data, some data may be delayed. Such a delay may be undesirable in various instances. Thus, an apparatus may be configured to determine that the apparatus is scheduled to transition from a first power state to a second power state in association with a DRX cycle. The second power state may be lower than the first power state. The apparatus may be further configured to determine that the first power state of the apparatus is to be extended. The apparatus may be configured to autonomously extend the first power state through transmission of a transaction based on the determination that the first power state of the apparatus is to be extended.

Device and a method for the generation of coherent x-ray radiation

A source of intense coherent high-frequency electromagnetic radiation such as soft x-rays. A circularly polarized incident beam of coherent radiation is directed at a frequency multiplication medium that includes constituents of approximate C symmetry, oriented so that the symmetry axes of the constituents are parallel to the incident beam. The interaction of the incident beam and the constituents of the medium produces higher harmonics of the incident frequency, up into the x-ray band. If the C symmetry of the medium constituents is exact then the harmonic frequencies are multiples ln&plusmn;l of the frequency of the incident beam, where l is an integer. If the C symmetry is only approximate, then the harmonics are centered around these multiples. Suitable medium constituents include dipolar molecules of C symmetry and circular rings of nanoparticles.
