An array substrate includes a thin film transistor on a substrate, a color pattern on the substrate, a light blocking pattern on the thin film transistor, an organic insulation layer covering the color pattern and the light blocking pattern, a pixel electrode on the organic insulation layer, and a low-reflective pattern on the pixel electrode. An opening portion is defined in the light blocking pattern and exposes the thin film transistor. A contact hole is defined in the organic insulation layer and corresponding to the opening portion. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the thin film transistor through the contact hole. The low-reflective pattern corresponds to the opening portion.

A liquid crystal display panel includes a base substrate, a first step difference compensating pattern, a gate metal pattern, a semiconductor pattern, a source electrode, a drain electrode, a pixel electrode and a color filter. The first step difference compensating pattern is disposed on the base substrate and includes an inorganic material. The gate metal pattern is disposed on the first step difference compensating pattern and includes a gate electrode and a gate line electrically connected to the gate electrode. Provided is a thin film transistor array panel that includes: a substrate; a gate line and a data line formed on the substrate and at least partially defining a pixel area; a thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the data line; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor and formed in the pixel area; a first common electrode formed under the pixel electrode; a second common electrode formed on the pixel electrode. The pixel area includes an upper pixel area and a lower pixel area, the first common electrode is formed in the upper pixel area, and the second common electrode is formed in the lower pixel area. The pixel electrode includes an upper pixel electrode formed in the upper pixel area and a lower pixel electrode formed in the lower pixel area.

A display substrate includes a substrate, a gate line formed on the substrate, a data line formed on the substrate and crossing the gate line, a first pixel electrode formed on the substrate on which the gate and the data line are formed, an insulation layer formed on the substrate and the first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode formed on the insulation layer. The second pixel electrode includes a first sub-electrode that overlaps the first pixel electrode and the data line, and a second sub-electrode that is electrically connected to the data line through a switching element.
