A display device includes pixels. Each of the pixels includes electrodes disposed on a base layer; a first insulating layer disposed on the electrodes; a light emitting element disposed on the first insulating layer; a bank disposed on the first insulating layer and protruding in a thickness direction of the base layer; and a second insulating layer, at least a portion of the second insulating layer being disposed on the first insulating layer. At least part of the electrodes of a pixel among the pixels are spaced apart from at least part of the electrodes of another pixel adjacent to the pixel with an open area being disposed between the electrodes. The first insulating layer includes a first opening overlapping the open area in a plan view, and the second insulating layer includes a second opening overlapping the open area in a plan view.

Display device and manufacturing method for display device

A display device includes first group electrodes and the second group electrodes spaced apart from second group electrodes in a first direction, respectively, light emitting elements disposed on the first group electrodes and the second group electrodes, a first connection electrode and a second connection electrode disposed on the first group electrodes and extending in the first direction, a third connection electrode and a fourth connection electrode disposed on the first group electrodes and the second group electrodes and extending in the first direction, and a fifth connection electrode disposed on at least two electrodes of the second group electrodes and spaced apart from the first connection electrode and the second connection electrode in the first direction. A display device including: a first substrate on which a plurality of sub-pixels are located; a plurality of color filter layers on the first substrate; a bank layer including a first bank at a boundary between the plurality of sub-pixels and located on the color filter layers; a color control structure including a plurality of light transmitting layers and wavelength conversion layers in a region surrounded by the first bank on the color filter layer; a light emitting element layer between the color filter layer and the color control structure; a reflective layer on the color control structure; and a first electrode and a second electrode on the color filter layer and at least partially located at the same plane, wherein the light emitting element layer includes a plurality of light emitting elements, each of the light emitting elements having respective ends on the first and second electrodes.

Tiled display device

A pixel may include first and second electrodes that are spaced apart from each other in a first direction, the first and second electrodes each extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and light emitting elements disposed between the first and second electrodes. The first electrode may include at least one (1-1)th electrode extending in a third direction inclined with respect to one of the first and second directions, and at least one (1-2)th electrode extending in a fourth direction intersecting the third direction. The second electrode may include at least one (2-1)th electrode extending in the third direction and at least one (2-2)th electrode extending in the fourth direction.

Pixel and display device including the same

A display device may include a first layer, a passivation layer, and a pixel. The passivation layer may overlap the first layer and may include a first passivation portion and a second passivation portion. The pixel may include a first-color filter, a first-color-corresponding electrode, a second-color filter, and a second-color-corresponding electrode. The first-color-corresponding electrode may overlap the first-color filter and may be positioned between the first layer and the first passivation portion. The second-color-corresponding electrode may overlap the second-color filter. The second passivation portion may be positioned between the first layer and the second-color-corresponding electrode.

A liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates facing each other; a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates; a thin-film transistor ('TFT') on the first substrate and including a semiconductor layer and a gate, source and drain electrodes; an organic layer on the TFT and defining a contact hole therein which exposes a portion of the drain electrode; a conductive layer on the organic layer and contacting the exposed portion of the drain electrode at the contact hole; a common electrode which is on the organic layer and isolated from the conductive layer; a passivation layer on the conductive layer and the common electrode and defining an opening therein which exposes a portion of the conductive layer; and a pixel electrode on the passivation layer and the conductive layer and contacting the exposed portion of the conductive layer at the opening.

Liquid crystal display and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first electrode which is disposed on the first substrate and transmits a first voltage, a second electrode which is disposed on the first substrate and transmits a second voltage, and a light blocking member overlapping a space between a side of the first electrode and a side of the second electrode which face each other, where the light blocking member has an island shape within a region of a pixel of the plurality of pixels in a plan view.

Liquid crystal display

A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, a gate line disposed on the first substrate, a data line disposed on the first substrate, a first passivation layer disposed on the gate line and the data line, a color filter disposed on the first passivation layer, a common electrode disposed on the color filter, a light blocking member disposed directly on or directly below the common electrode, a second passivation layer disposed on the common electrode and the light blocking member, and a pixel electrode disposed on the second passivation layer.

Each pixel of a thin film transistor substrate includes a base substrate including a pixel display area and a pixel non-display area surrounding the pixel display area, a gate electrode on the base substrate in the pixel non-display area, a first insulating layer which is on the base substrate in the pixel non-display area and covers the gate electrode, a semiconductor layer on the first insulating layer, of which a predetermined portion thereof overlaps the gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode which are spaced apart from each other and on the semiconductor layer, a second insulating layer which is on the first insulating layer and the base substrate and covers the source electrode and the drain electrode, and a pixel electrode on the second insulating layer in the pixel display area.

Thin film transistor substrate, display apparatus having the same, and manufacturing method thereof

A display apparatus includes a first substrate that includes a display area in which pixels are arranged and a non-display area surrounding the display area, a second substrate disposed to face the first substrate, and a sealing member disposed in the non-display area to attach the second substrate to the first substrate. The first substrate includes a base substrate, a plurality of inorganic insulating layers disposed on the base substrate in the non-display area, and an organic layer disposed on the inorganic insulating layer.

Display apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

The present invention relates to a display device, and a manufacturing method thereof. The display device includes a first insulation substrate; gate lines and data lines positioned on the first insulating substrate. The gate lines and data lines are insulated from each other and crossed each other. A first passivation layer positioned on the gate lines and the data lines, and including a first contact opening. A color filter positioned on the first passivation layer, and including an opening. An organic insulation layer positioned on the color filter, and including a contact hole, in which the first contact opening is larger than the opening. The organic insulation layer covers the color filter and the contact opening.

A display device includes a first substrate, a ground electrode disposed on the first substrate, a thin film transistor disposed on the first substrate, a first passivation layer disposed on the thin film transistor, a light blocking member, and a color filter disposed on the first passivation layer. A field generating electrode is disposed on the light blocking member and the color filter. The ground electrode is arranged on the first substrate in a matrix and is connected to a ground terminal.
