A new and distinct variety of Hybrid Tea rose plant is provided which forms attractive large double blossoms with a spicy fragrance that are amber-orange in coloration. The plant exhibits a bushy, vigorous and uniform growth habit, medium green foliage, and good tolerance to rose black spot. The attractive medium green foliage contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored blossoms. The new variety is particularly well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in the landscape such as in parks and gardens. Cut flower production also is possible.

A new and distinct variety of Grandiflora rose plant is provided which forms attractive double blossoms that are light to medium lavender in coloration. The plant exhibits a bushy and well balanced growth habit, and good disease resistance. Medium green semi-glossy foliage is formed. The new plant growth commonly assumes a deep burgundy appearance. The new variety is particularly well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in the landscape such as in parks and gardens. Cut flower production also is possible.

The present invention relates to a new and distinct variety of rose plant of the hybrid tea rose class, which was originated by my crossing as seed parent the rose known as 'Mr. Lincoln' (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,370) and as pollen parent, my seedling of ('Suspense'.times.'King's Ransom'). The denomination of this new rose is 'Big Apple'.
