A writing instrument that includes a writing element for depositing a writing material on a support and a plurality of sensors including at least a force sensor and a movement sensor, a communication unit that exchanges data with a remote device a control unit connected to the sensors and to the communication unit in order to transmit to the remote device the measurements provided by the sensors, a memory unit connected to the control unit that stores one or more measurements from the sensors; and a hollow casing that contains at least part of the writing element so that the writing end is exposed, and also houses the sensors, the control unit, the memory unit and the communication unit.

Writing instrument, system and method for transparent monitoring and analysis of writing

A method for radiographic imaging is described. Radiographic raw images of an object are generated by an imaging system comprising an X-ray source and an X-ray detector and moving along a given trajectory during an acquisition process of the radiographic images. During the generation of the radiographic raw images displacement data describing the displacement of the moving object are generated by means of a sensor arrangement and a control unit connected with the sensor arrangement. Finally views of the object are produced by image processing of the radiographic raw images in the control unit wherein the displacement data are used for compensating the motion of the object. For the compensation of the motion, the object is treated as stationary and the actual trajectory is replaced by a virtual trajectory resulting in a spatial relation between the stationary object and the imaging system on the virtual trajectory that corresponds to the spatial relation between the displaced object and the imaging system on the actual trajectory.

Dynamic error correction in radiographic imaging

A radiographic X-ray apparatus is equipped with multiple devices for the acquisition of anatomical data, in particular cameras. These devices are used to facilitate and automate the imaging process, providing: before exposure the automated identification of the specific anatomical features of the patient and the optimized presetting of the exposure technique factors and projection geometry, tailored on the actual anatomy of the patient; during exposure the optimized X-ray dose modulation, either automatically or selected by the operator, in order to correctly expose the various regions of interest, and accordingly impart reduced dose to other body parts, according to the actual anatomy of the patient and imaging requirements; after exposure the possibility to complement the radiographic image with additional information about the internal and external anatomy, providing valuable tools for the medical analysis and diagnosis.

Method and apparatus for radiographic imaging

An apparatus and a method is proposed which allow for a simplified patient positioning based on the selection of a region of interest for the tomographic image of the dentition of a patient. The region of interest is selected on a previously acquired panoramic image of the dentition of the patient.
