A door lock assembly for an automotive vehicle includes a base secured inside a vehicle door, a latch mechanism provided on the base and free to engage with and disengage from the body side of the vehicle, an opening lever provided on the base for operating the latch mechanism via a linking member, a locking lever provided on the base for manipulating the linking member to engage and disengage a transmission path from the opening lever to the latch mechanism, and a protective cover for covering the locking lever and the linking member. The protective cover has an opening and the opening lever has a connecting portion extending outwardly of the protective cover from the opening in offset relation to the opening, wherein the connecting portion is linked to an operating member.

Door lock assembly for automotive vehicles

A vehicle door lock apparatus includes a base member for being fixed on a vehicle door, a latch mechanism mounted on the base member for engaging with and disengaging from a vehicle body, an open lever mounted on the base member for operating the latch mechanism through a connecting member, a locking lever mounted on the base member for operating the connecting member so as to connect and disconnect the open lever and the latch mechanism, a protect cover fixed on the base member which covers the locking lever and the connecting member and which includes an opening, a sub-open lever mounted on the base member so as to be located out of the protect cover and which is connected with the open lever through the opening and connecting portion for being connected with an operation member located at an outside of the vehicle which is disposed on the sub-open lever so as to be distant from the opening.

Vehicle door lock apparatus

A vehicle door lock apparatus includes a latch mechanism, a locking lever which permits the latch mechanism to be operated and prevents the latch mechanism from being operated and detecting member connected with the locking lever including a detecting shaft, wherein the locking lever is rotatably supported on the detecting shaft and the locking lever is rotated with the detecting member integrally about the detecting shaft.

An electric connector includes a case having a first space for accommodating an actuator and for communicating with the atmosphere. The case further includes a first connector having a first terminal for being electrically connected with the actuator. A second connector is also provided and includes a second terminal for communicating with an electric power source. The second connector is adapted to be engaged with the first connector so as to connect the first terminal with the second terminal at an engaging portion. A seal member is disposed in either the first connector or the second connector and is interposed between the first connector and the second connector so as to seal a second space located around the engaging portion at which the first connector engages the second connector. A through passage is also formed in the first connector to connect the first space with the second space.

Electric connector

A door lock device with a latch that is supported by a latch pin engages a striker. A pawl, which meshes with the latch is also supported on the latch pin. A lift lever which mates with the pawl pin moves together with the pawl on the same axis; an outer lever with a release bushing which mates with the lift lever is supported by the pawl pin. A locking link with a curved groove, which is concentric with the pawl pin, guides the release bushing.

Automotive door lock device

A power operated door lock device having a locking arm for performing the locking and unlocking operation, a handling lever fro driving the locking arm and an electric actuator for rotating the handling lever through a predetermined angle. The actuator includes a motor with a worm gear fixed to the shaft. The worm gear has a plurality of teeth that are laterally disposed in position for driving and being driven by a wheel gear in mesh with the worm gear. An arcuate curved portion on the wheel gear engages the handling lever.

Door lock device

A housing for a door lock device has an irregular outer perimeter with inside and outside curved corners. A sub housing for the door lock device has a similarly configured outer perimeter coupled to the perimeter of the housing. An O-ring is inserted in a groove in the housing perimeter for sealing the perimeters of the housing and sub-housing. The O-ring has a plurality of spaced gripping portions that have a width greater than the width of the groove before insertion therein for keeping the O-ring from springing out of the groove during assembly.

A power actuator for a door lock device comprising an electric motor driving a worm gear, a gear wheel driven by the worm gear, a handling lever driven by an arcuate projection on the gear wheel and a locking arm rotated by the handling lever. The wheel gear has a peripheral groove with a portion of reduced width for supporting opposite ends of an elongate coil spring; which is compressed in a direction corresponding to the rotation of the gear wheel. An arcuate segment projects axially from the gear wheel. The opposite ends of the arcuate segment and the handling lever is shaped to provide point contact with the handling lever upon initial engagement and surface contact as the arcuate projection moves the handling lever to the locking and unlocking position. A contact is disposed on a base plate; and contacts on the handling lever slidably engage the contacts on the base plate to detect the locking and unlocking position of the handling lever.

Power door lock device with a spring retracted gear wheel

A door lock device having a key handling lever for rotating a locking arm selectively to a locked and unlocked position. A switch for detecting the locked and unlocked position of the locking arm has a main body member attached to a sub housing of the device. An arm element is pivotably attached to the main body member and is connected to and movable with the locking arm. A first switch contact is formed on a surface of the main body member; and a second switch contact is formed on the arm element. The switch contacts are in engagement when in a locked condition and out of engagement when in an unlocked condition.

Door lock device having a condition detecting switch

A door lock assembly having a housing and sub housing configured to fit low in a vehicle door. The housing has a vertically extending groove for discharging water from between the housing and rear edge of the door, a wall for directing water from the interior, a downwardly facing opening for relieving negative pressure, a recess for receiving a weatherstripping clip, and a clamp for securing a wiring harness to the exterior.

Vehicle door lock housing

An automotive door lock device having a pawl mounted on a pawl pin. The pawl pin is mounted at one end to a base of the lock device and is supported intermediate the ends to a sub-base spaced from the base. The pawl pin has an integral flange disposed between the sub-base and the base. A collar is disposed surrounding the pawl pin between the base and the sub-base. The pawl pin is fixed on the sub-base by lift lever 12, collar 19, outer lever 15, and washer 20.

A door lock apparatus includes a latch pivotally supported on a base, a pawl pivotally supported on the base for engaging with the latch to limit its rotation, an opening lever pivotally supported on the base by the same rotary shaft as that of the pawl for being rotated to rotate the pawl, thereby disengaging the latch and the pawl, a release bush slidably pivoted on the pawl for engaging with the opening lever to transmit the rotating motion of the opening lever to the pawl, and a locking lever pivotally supported on the base for being rotated to slide the release bush, thereby disengaging the release bush and the opening lever. The locking lever is formed to have an oblong hole engaged by the release bush to transmit turning motion of the locking lever to the release bush. The oblong hole defines a circular arc whose center is the rotary shaft of the opening lever and pawl.

Door lock apparatus

A locking device for vehicles includes a card including a microprocessor and a transmitter for generating and transmitting commands for locking and unlocking the doors of a motor vehicle. A lock control device includes a microprocessor and a receiver for receiving the commands transmitted by the lock command device. The lock control device will only carry out a receive command if the command is applied to a specific motor vehicle and the motor vehicle is in the proper state to implement the command. Change data is generated by the lock control device and transmitted to the lock command device to change the value of the next subsequent lock command so that the lock command can be uniquely identified with the motor vehicle.

A power transmitting apparatus is comprised of an electrically operated motor having a shaft which is rotatable in one or the other direction, a worm-gear provided at an outer periphery thereof with a geared portion at which an angle of load is established at a set value so as to be larger than an angle of friction and fixedly mounted on the shaft of the motor, a worm-wheel provided at an outer periphery thereof with a geared portion which is in mesh engagement with the geared portion of the worm-gear, and a lever operatively connected to the worm-wheel for transmitting the rotational torque therefrom to a driven member. Since an angle of load is set so as to be larger than an angle of friction in the worm-gear, the rotational torque may be transmitted between the worm-gear and the worm-wheel. So, flexibility in mechanical design is increased.

A door lock assembly includes a door lock operating unit having a locking arm, and an actuator for driving the locking arm to a locked position and unlocked position. The actuator has an operating lever which rocks together with the locking arm, a neutral position restoration level which, when in a neutral position, is in a state non-engagable with the operating lever and, when displaced from the neutral position, drives the operating lever to the locked position and unlocked position, an output member which makes contact with and separates form the neutral position restoration lever for driving the neutral position restoration lever to the locked position and unlocked position, and a motor for driving the output member.
