A display device including display regions with inconspicuous seam is provided. The display device includes a first display panel and a second display panel. The first display panel includes a first display region and a visible-light-transmitting region. The second display panel includes a second display region. The first display region is adjacent to the visible-light-transmitting region. The first display region includes a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element. A first common electrode included in the first light-emitting element includes a portion in contact with a second common electrode included in the second light-emitting element. The first common electrode has a function of reflecting visible light. The second common electrode has a function of transmitting visible light. The second light-emitting element is positioned closer to the visible-light-transmitting region than the first light-emitting element. The second display region includes a portion overlapping with the second light-emitting element and a portion overlapping with the visible-light-transmitting region.

Display panel including first and second common electrodes

A display device or an electronic device with high portability and browsability is provided. A display device which includes two display panels that overlap with each other and in which the area of a portion where the two display panels overlap with each other is variable is provided. The larger the area where the two display panels overlap with each other is, the smaller the display device becomes. The first display panel includes a first region that performs display. The second display panel includes a second region that performs display, and a third region that is adjacent to the second region and transmits visible light. When the third region overlaps with the side of a surface which performs display of the first region, display can be performed using a seamless large display region.

Display device and electronic device

A novel display panel that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. The display panel includes a display region, a first support, and a second support, the display region includes a first region, a second region, and a third region, the first region and the second region each have a belt-like shape extending in one direction, and the third region is sandwiched between the first region and the second region. The first support overlaps with the first region and is less likely to be warped than the third region, and the second support overlaps with the second region and is less likely to be warped than the third region. The second support can pivot on an axis extending in the one direction with respect to the first support.

Display panel and data processing device

Display unevenness in a display panel is suppressed. A display panel with a high aperture ratio of a pixel is provided. The display panel includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a third pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer, a second light-emitting layer, a third light-emitting layer, a first common layer, a second common layer, a common electrode, and an auxiliary wiring. The first common layer is positioned over the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. A display panel or a display device with high display quality is provided. The display panel includes a light-emitting element, an insulating layer, a protective layer, and a conductive layer. The light-emitting element includes a first electrode, a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode. The light-emitting element emits light to the protective layer side. The insulating layer includes a first opening overlapping with the first electrode. The insulating layer covers an end portion of the first electrode. The light-emitting layer overlaps with the first electrode through the first opening. The second electrode is positioned over the light-emitting layer. The protective layer is over and in contact with the second electrode. The protective layer functions as a protective layer of the light-emitting element. The protective layer includes a second opening overlapping with the insulating layer. The conductive layer is connected to the second electrode through the second opening. The conductive layer functions as an auxiliary wiring of the second electrode.

A display device that can display an image along a curved surface is provided. In the display device, a first display panel and a second display panel overlap each other with a light-transmitting layer provided therebetween. The light-transmitting layer is positioned on a display surface side of the first display panel, and on a side opposite to the display surface of the second display panel. The light-transmitting layer has an average transmittance of 80% or more with respect to light in the wavelength range of 450 nm to 700 nm and a refractive index higher than that of air. A display region of the first display panel overlaps a region transmitting visible light of the second display panel with the light-transmitting layer provided therebetween. It is preferred that the display region of the first display panel not overlap with a region blocking visible light of the second display panel.

Provided is a display system or a display device that is suitable for increasing in size. The display system includes a first display panel, a second display panel, a detection means, and a compensation means. The first display panel includes a first display region. The second display panel includes a second display region. The first display region and the second display region include a first region where they overlap. The detection means has a function of detecting the size of the first region. The compensation means has a function of compensating an image displayed on the first display region in accordance with the change in the size of the first region.
