In relation to a HUD apparatus having an AR function, the shift between an object and a virtual image (AR image) is reduced. The HUD apparatus extracts a predetermined object based on an image taken by an external camera, acquires object information including an object position in space, viewpoint position information of a driver and the amount of movement of the viewpoint position in space based on an image taken by an internal camera, and information including a position of a virtual image region in space. The HUD apparatus generates the image to be superimposed on the object, and corrects a display position of the image in the virtual image region including at least a position in a horizontal direction, and performs conversion processing at the time of the correction so that a virtual image region is set as a display position of the image after correction.

Head up display apparatus and display control method thereof

A main controller of an HUD is configured to: acquire road surface information of a front road surface based on a plurality of measurement points on the front road surface, which is detected by a road surface detection sensor mounted on a vehicle with the HUD and is positioned forward of a traveling direction of the vehicle; calculate, by using the road surface information, a virtual image plane position on a virtual image plane where a virtual image of a display object is displayed, which is a display position of the virtual image for displaying the virtual image along the front road surface; and calculate a display position of a display surface within an image display device, which corresponds to the virtual image plane position, so as to output, to the image display device, a control signal for displaying the display object on the display position of the display surface.

Head-up display

The head-up display device includes a display element that emits image light and a virtual image optical system. The virtual image optical system includes a lens unit and a free curved surface mirror disposed along the emission direction of the image light in this order from a position close to the display element. The display element is disposed with a tilting attitude with respect to the optical axis of the lens unit with an end on the housing aperture side in an emission surface being close to an incidence surface in the lens unit and with an end on the opposite side of the housing aperture in an emission surface being apart from an incidence surface in the lens unit. The lens unit has an optical characteristic of optically enlarging an optical path length difference according to a virtual image distance difference.

Head-up display device

A head up display apparatus capable of suppressing discomfort to a user caused by an operating noise while preventing damage by sunlight is provided. Further, it contributes to 'Goal: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages' in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thus, a video light projectorincludes a drive mechanismand projects video light emitted from a video displayto a display region, thereby making the projected video light visually recognized as a virtual image. A controller judges whether or not a door unlock signal which is one of information related to a transportation is received, and judges whether or not to cause the video displayto start displaying the video by operating the drive mechanismin the video light projectorbased on a display start condition when the door unlock signal is received.

Head up display apparatus

A head-up display device (HUD) includes a sound analysis portion that determines whether a specific alarm is involved in sound signals from microphonestoto collect ambient sound around a vehicle. When a specific alarm has been detected as determined by the sound analysis portion, an image display unit displays icons, representing the specific alarm. The specific alarm includes a siren sound given from an emergency vehicle and a horn sound given from a general vehicle and the sound analysis portion analyzes frequency of input sound signals and thereby determines whether the sound is the specific alarm.

Vehicle

A head up display superimposes a virtual image on an actual view in accordance with a traveling status of a vehicle. Vehicle information containing a lean of the vehicle in a pitch direction is detected by a first posture sensor, and a lean in a roll direction is detected by a second posture sensor. A controller controls display of video on the basis of the vehicle information. A mirror reflects the video to project the video to a windshield or combiner. A mirror driver changes an angle and/or a position of the mirror. At least one of a display state of the virtual image in a display area for the video or the angle and/or the position of the mirror via the mirror driver is adjusted by the controller on the basis of the lean in the pitch direction and/or the lean in the roll direction.

Head up display

A display device includes a backlight, a display element, a plate for holding at least a portion of an emission surface, from which an image light is emitted, provided on the display element, and a heat dissipation portion that dissipates heat generated from the display element. The display element is connected to the heat dissipation portion via the plate.

Display device

An object of the present invention is to provide a head-up display apparatus further reduced in size, the head-up display apparatus having: an image display apparatus including a light source and a display element; and a virtual image optical system in which light emitted from the image display apparatus is reflected by a windshield or a combiner of the vehicle so that a virtual image is displayed in front of the vehicle, wherein the virtual image optical system has a concave mirror and a distortion correcting lens, and the distortion correcting lens is disposed between the image display apparatus and the concave mirror, the concave mirror is disposed in a housing including an outer case along a shape of an effective light path area of the image light from the image display apparatus, and the image display apparatus is attached to part of an outer periphery of the housing.

A HUD includes a plate that connects an emission-surface of the LCD and a heat sink, is formed of a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air, and is provided with an emission-surface exhaust heat path that is formed to: include a holding region fixed to a periphery of the emission-surface directly or via a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air, and an intermediate region connecting the holding region and the heat sink; connect an end portion, which is opposite to the holding region, of the intermediate region with the heat sink directly or via a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air; extend from the emission-surface to the heat sink via the plate; and have a thermal gradient greater than that of a heat transfer path for transferring heat from the emission-surface to the heat sink by using air as a medium.

Head-up display apparatus

The problem to be solved is to make it possible to download via a network, efficiently manage, retrieve, and reproduce an external content associated with a content recorded on a recording medium. To solve the problem, a program is used which controls reproduction of information located on a recording medium and related information. The program includes the steps of: obtaining from the outside specific information associated with predetermined information recorded on a recording medium; and obtaining medium identification information located on a recording medium; wherein if the specific information has been obtained, a storage unit in a reproducing apparatus is controlled to associate the specific information with the medium identification information for storage.
