To provide a controller for AC rotary electric machine which can compensate error of the actual on-duty with respect to the command on-duty calculated from command voltage with good accuracy, with a simple circuit configuration. A controller for AC rotary electric machine detects an actual on-duty of the switching device based on the detection value of the midpoint potential which is the potential of the connection node of the series connection in the series circuit; calculates an on-duty error based on the difference between the command on-duty and the actual on-duty; and corrects the voltage command or the command on-duty based on the on-duty error.

While a current cutoff mechanism cuts off charging and discharging currents for a second electric storage device, a DC/DC converter is controlled so as to be in a state where electric power is supplied from a low-voltage side to a high-voltage side, applies voltage conversion to an input voltage of the low-voltage side so that an output voltage of the high-voltage side becomes a predetermined voltage, and after a predetermined state where the induction voltage of the AC power generator can be supplied to the low-voltage side is reached, control of the DC/DC converter is switched from the state where electric power is supplied from the low-voltage side to the high-voltage side to a state where electric power is supplied from the high-voltage side to the low-voltage side.

A vehicle charging apparatus includes: an electric generatorthat is driven by an internal combustion engineand outputs an adjustable alternating-current voltage; a rectifierthat converts the outputted alternating-current voltage to a direct-current voltage; an electric storage devicethat is charged with the converted direct-current voltage; and a voltage sensorthat measures an output voltage of the rectifier. The vehicle charging apparatus is provided with a control devicethat controls the electric generatorfor a charging voltage to be a target charging voltage calculated from the output voltage in order to suppress a charging current to be lower than a charging current upper limit value when the electric storage deviceis charged. It thus becomes possible to achieve efficiency higher than that of a charging apparatus in the related art while preventing deterioration or damage of the electric storage device.

An engine start control device includes a mechanical pump supplying hydraulic pressure; an electric pump connected in parallel to the mechanical pump and independently driven; a device for stopping the engine when an idling stop condition is satisfied and starting the engine when a restart condition and a fuel injection condition are satisfied; a device for driving the electric pump when the hydraulic pressure is less than a first hydraulic pressure when the engine is stopped by idling stop; and a device for driving a motor at a target speed and for performing control so that the change in the target speed is small compared with the change exhibited when the hydraulic pressure is equal or higher than a second hydraulic pressure, when the hydraulic pressure is less than the second hydraulic pressure, and the restart condition is satisfied after the idling stop.

A vehicle drive control system includes a motor coupled with the driving shaft of an internal combustion engine so that torque can be transmitted to the drive wheels when fuel supply to the engine is cut off. The vehicle travels in a creeping mode in this state while motoring of the engine is performed through driving force of the motor. When accelerator depression is detected, fuel injection into a cylinder waiting for the intake stroke of the engine is begun and the engine is started. The crank angle position at a time when fuel injection is started is utilized as a reference position. When the crankshaft of the engine rotates from the reference crank angle position to a predetermined crank angle position, driving by the motor is stopped and the vehicle is then driven by the engine.
