A stylet which comprises a stylet assembly body and a connector for connecting the stylet to a catheter. The stylet body has a piece of wire bent double and twisted together to form a rounded end serving as a distal end at one end. The connector has a stylet connecting part for holding a proximal end of the stylet body. The connector also holds the catheter to prevent the catheter from slipping from the stylet during use.

A vascular dilating catheter comprising an outer tube, an inner tube and a connector, wherein said connector comprises an inlet for injecting a balloon distending solution and an inlet for insertion of a guidewire into the inner tube; the inner tube is inserted into the outer tube; and the outer tube having flexibility at a distal end side and rigidity at a proximal end side is provided with a balloon at the distal end portion thereof, the outer tube being adhered to the inner tube at the position enclosed by the balloon, and the outer tube having, between the proximal end of the balloon and the site of adhesion to the inner tube, a through-hole which connects the inner cavity of the balloon and a circular lumen formed as a gap between the outer tube and the inner tube. According to the catheter of the present invention, various forces applied to the proximal end of the catheter can be directly and positively transmitted to the distal end portion of the catheter. In addition, the distal end portion of the catheter has a suitable bending strength, and the catheter of the present invention is devoid of bending or twisting of the balloon, or snapping of the distal end portion.

Vascular dilating catheter

A catheter assembly for intracardiac suture comprises a hooking catheter (4) provided at a distal end with a suture-hooking member (42) and at the proximal end with a manipulating element (41) at a proximal end thereof; a first sheath (3) for movably holding the hooking catheter therein; a piercing catheter (2) for movably holding the first sheath, provided at a distal end with a piercing needle and at the proximal end with a hemostatic valve 29; and a second sheath (1) for movably holding the piercing catheter, provided at the proximal end with a hemostatic valve 19. The piercing catheter (2) and second sheath (1) are provided at each distal portion with a side hole (21, 11) so that the side hole (21) of the piercing catheter (2) is laid to lie the side hole (11) of the second sheath (1) when the tip of the piercing catheter (2) is reached to the tip of the second sheath to allow the first sheath (3) to protrude through the overlapped side holes (21, 11).
