A novel light-emitting device is provided. A light-emitting device with a long lifetime is provided. The light-emitting device includes an anode, a cathode, and an EL layer. The light-emitting layer is positioned between the anode and the cathode. The EL layer includes a light-emitting layer and an electron-transport layer. The electron-transport layer is positioned between the light-emitting layer and the cathode. The light-emitting layer contains a first organic compound, a second organic compound, and an emission center substance. The combination of the first organic compound and the second organic compound can form an exciplex. The electron-transport layer contains an organic compound represented by General Formula (G1) below. (Note that in General Formula (G1) below, Ar1 represents a benzoquinolyl group or a benzoisoquinolyl group, and Ar2 represents a triphenylenylnaphthylene group or a naphthylenyltriphenylene-diyl group.)

A method of analyzing a light-emitting element is provided. The method analyzes an organic semiconductor element including an organic semiconductor layer including one or a plurality of layers between a pair of electrodes. The organic semiconductor element is analyzed with use of a step of separating one of the electrodes of the organic semiconductor element, a step of analyzing a stacked layer and/or a mixed state of the exposed organic semiconductor layer by a first mass analysis method, a step of forming a solution by eluting at least any one or a plurality of organic compounds included in layers in the organic semiconductor layer with a solvent, a step of isolating an organic compound included in the solution by liquid chromatography and analyzing the isolated organic compound by a second mass analysis method, a step of comparing a mass-to-charge ratio detected by the first mass analysis method and a mass-to-charge ratio detected by the second mass analysis method, and a step of measuring the physical properties of the isolated organic compound.

Method of analyzing organic semiconductor element

A highly reliable light-emitting element having high emission efficiency is provided. The light-emitting element includes a light-emitting layer including a first organic compound and a guest material. The first organic compound has a substituted or unsubstituted carbazole skeleton. In the light-emitting layer, the weight ratio of a hydrocarbon group substitution product in which at least one of hydrogen atoms in the first organic compound is substituted by a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms to the first organic compound is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.1.

Provided is a light-emitting element in which an adverse effect by halides in an EL layer is suppressed and which can be provided with low cost. The light-emitting element including at least two layers between an anode and a light-emitting layer. One of the two layers which is closer to the anode has higher concentration of halides and halogen elements than the other layer closer to the light-emitting layer.
