A resin composition of the present disclosure comprises (a) a polyphenylene ether resin; and (b) a graft copolymer wherein 30 to 70% by mass of an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer rubber latex having a gel content ratio of 30 to 90% by mass and a volume average particle diameter of a rubber dispersion of 0.2 to 1.0 &#x3bc;m is graft-polymerized with 30 to 70% by mass of an aromatic vinyl compound, wherein the (a) component forms a continuous phase.

Resin composition, method of producing resin composition, and molded article

Provided are a resin composition and shaped product having excellent low-temperature impact resistance, chemical resistance, and tracking resistance, and having rigidity enabling adoption for mechanism components and structures. The resin composition contains (a) a polyphenylene ether resin, and further contains: (b-1) a hydrogenated block copolymer, and/or modified product thereof, having a peak molecular weight of 80,000 to 200,000 and (b-2) a hydrogenated block copolymer, and/or modified product thereof, having a peak molecular weight of at least 10,000 and less than 80,000; and/or (c) an olefinic polymer formed from an olefin other than propylene. The (a) component forms a continuous phase, polymer block B has a glass transition temperature of &#x2212;50&#xb0; C. or lower, the (c) component has a brittleness temperature of &#x2212;50&#xb0; C. or lower, and the composition does not substantially contain (g) polypropylene resin and has a flexural modulus of 1,600 MPa or more as measured in accordance with ISO 178.

Resin composition, method of producing resin composition, and shaped product

Provided are a resin composition and a shaped product having excellent smoke generation properties and chemical resistance. The resin composition and the shaped product contain: a polyphenylene ether resin (I); a polypropylene resin (II); a hydrogenated block copolymer (III) that is a hydrogenated product of a block copolymer including a polymer block A and a polymer block B in which the total amount of vinyl bonding is 30-90%; and a phosphate ester compound (IV). Relative to 100 parts by mass, in total, of components (I) and (II), component (I) is 40-99 parts by mass, component (II) is 1-60 parts by mass, component (III) is 1-20 parts by mass, and component (IV) is 5-45 parts by mass. A partition ratio of component (IV) present in a fraction that dissolves in chloroform and component (IV) present in a fraction that dissolves in o-dichlorobenzene is 10 or more.

Resin composition and shaped product

The resin composition according to the present invention contains a polyacetal resin having a specific molecular weight distribution, a specific carbon black, and an alkaline metal wherein the contents of the carbon black and the alkaline metal are in specific ranges. The molded article according to the present invention contains the resin composition.
