A valve assembly includes a body, a spring, a spacer, an interfacing member, a connecting rod, and a plunger. The body includes a first section defining a first opening, a second section defining a chamber, a second opening, and a pressure port, and a third section defining a third opening and a release port. The second section is between the first section and the third section. The spring is positioned within the third opening. The spacer is positioned within the third opening and coupled with the spring. The interfacing member is positioned partially within the third opening and coupled with the spacer. The connecting rod is positioned partially within the second opening and the chamber and coupled with the interfacing member. The plunger is positioned within the chamber and coupled with the connecting rod.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods of assembly of a dry pipe manifold assembly. The dry pipe manifold assembly including a lower plate and an upper plate fixed to the lower plate creating a water passage with a series of ports. The assembly further including a dry pipe actuator, manual reset actuator sub-assembly, manual trip valve, and alarm test sub-assembly fixed to the upper plate. The assembly allowing for fluid flow between the dry pipe actuator, manual reset actuator sub-assembly, and manual trip valve through the water passage.

The protection system protects a fire hydrant. The protection system includes a nozzle, a protection device, and a bracket assembly. The nozzle defines a bore, is in fluid communication with an interior of the fire hydrant, and is adaptable to receive a fire hose. The protection device is carried by the bore of the nozzle for prohibiting access into the interior of the fire hydrant from the exterior. The protection device includes a first position for preventing access into the fire hydrant from the exterior, and a second position wherein water can flow from inside the fire hydrant externally via the nozzle. The bracket assembly is coupled to the protection device for rotating the protection device and carried by the nozzle, wherein the bracket assembly has sufficient rotational travel for enabling the protection device to move from the first position to the second position, depending on the water pressure.
