An example of a method for time-resolved calculation of a deformation of a body comprises calculating () a model of the body during the deformation. The method further comprises calculating () a predicted X-ray image for the body for a plurality of time points during the deformation based on the model. The method further comprises obtaining () one measured X-ray image of the body each for the time points during the deformation. Method and computer program for time-resolved calculation of a deformation of a body

A method of determining a plant's biomass includes three steps, namely establishing an X-ray photograph of the plant, establishing an absorption characteristic of the plant in an X-ray photograph, and determining the plant's biomass by means of the absorption characteristic of the plant. Said determining is based on a predetermined relation between a reference absorption characteristic and a reference biomass.

In a radiation source and a method for the generation of X-radiation, a liquid is arranged in a liquid line, the liquid being completely surrounded by the liquid line in the direction of an evacuated chamber. A portion of the liquid line is permeable to an electron beam such that the electron beam extending through the chamber is able to enter via the liquid line so as to interact with the liquid in an interaction zone for the generation of X-radiation. The radiation source ensures a good dissipation of heat from the interaction zone and prevents liquid from entering the chamber.

A scattered radiation correction factor is calculable by means of the measured intensities to reduce the scattered radiation.
